It was once a fun place for children of all ages. Very young children adored rolling down the hills. Older children played various ball games. Now it stands a picture of dereliction and neglect. Long uncut grass prevents the fun of rolling down the hills. It also hides hidden unpicked up dog waste. The long dry grass ensures natural Summer fires that then have to be put out by the fire service. The paths are unswept and in winter very muddy. The tennis courts have been resurfaced, though not in traditional colours. I suppose to the taste of the Council. Unfortunately the Council is not interested in the upkeep of current amenities. Read moreWe love Harrison Park and go frequently with the kids or just for a stroll. The only thing I would say is it would benefit from a little toilet so I don't have to keep making trips home or into the bushes ( for the kids I mean ) The sand pit provides the kids hours of fun with their own imagination, the swings , slide and climbing area also really good. Plenty of benches for picnics etc and the park is really well looked after. Lots and lots of dogs around but all seem to have very responsible and friendly owners. Read moreHarrison Park is lovely, very well maintained even though the park is still under lock down as far as the children's play areas are concerned, everything is pristine lots of people making good use of the open areas for example there was a exercise class going on some social distancing football activities and dog walkers and myself and a friend having a social distance coffee and catch up sitting on one of the many benches that all seem to be well appointed all with a lovely view ours was looking out over the River Mersey...
