Fleur Ashley Tea Room — Restaurant in Wirral

We went to Fleur Ashley just before Christmas for an afternoon tea, with our 8 month old baby. The staff honestly couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating. They gave us a large table so we could sit comfortably with the baby, they were really helpful in making us feel comfortable visiting as a family - they have great children's menu options including a fresh platter of cheese, buttered bread fingers, fruit and salad veg all cut small which was so thoughtful and great for our little one. We shared an afternoon tea which was fantastic, lovely sandwiches, really tasty scones and cakes, and a great selection of teas on offer. Visited as I had been told it was a good place to have afternoon tea. Unfortunately I was quite disappointed, the finger sandwiches were very nice, thank you. However, the scone was lovely despite only being offered the version with sultanas however the portion of jam and cream was less than needed for one scone,as we were two this meant we could bearly taste it which was a shame as the scones were large and quite pleasant. There is no top up for the pot of tea and you have to pay if you ask for another pot despite the fact that you are not brought clean tea cups and more milk!

Fantastic such a warm welcome, we visited with our two boys for my wifes birthday afternoon tea and we were not disappointed. The food is excellent and it is very well presented, the staff are all wonderful and made us feel right at home we felt like were visiting family it's hard to put into words how welcome we were made to feel, the two ladies made such a fuss of our two young children it was amazing they chatted with us and took great care of the kids going above and beyond our expectations.
