Great place to go with family or friends if you are local. The park is well cared for and despite several events transforming the park into a mud pitch it is brought back to lovely green looking park within couple of weeks - magic! There are not many trees around to hide in the shade during hot summer days but there are trees all around the park (where is a pathway split for walking and cycling) and there is a little patch of trees right in the middle which is like small fairy-tale gem (imagination is needed though which is not a problem for kids). When it's cold outside make sure you add an extra layer and take a hat simply because in Stoke park is always much colder than everywhere else - the wind is constantly going through with nothing in its way to stop it so be aware of that. In other words it's a great place for a short walk with kids or dogs, to have fun and play some ball games, take a kite on windy days or simply have a lovely picnic. I can tell it's a favorite location for runners as they can make a little stop by the fitness stations (for pull ups, push ups and many things) right next to the "Wildwood Adventure" site. The fitness area is well cared for by local borough council and gets regularly upgraded. Kids enjoy it too yet don't get extremely muddy thanks to the padding around. There is always the possibility to take the kids a bit further to the stoke park playground (right next to Guildford College) or paddling pool during summer (get very busy in hot days as...
Read moreStoke Park in Guildford is my absolute sanctuary! I find myself drawn there time and time again, especially on sunny days. There's something truly magical about grabbing a coffee and simply chilling by the water. The gentle sounds of nature, the warmth of the sun, and the serene atmosphere create the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The park itself is beautifully maintained, with lush greenery and tranquil water features. It's the ideal spot to unwind and recharge. I've always found it to be clean, peaceful, and welcoming. Whether you're looking for a place to relax, enjoy a quiet moment, or simply soak up some sunshine, Stoke Park is the perfect destination. It's a true gem in Guildford, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Five stars simply don't...

They should scrub the pool areas everyday after closing with a trained and dedicated team.
