Great place to go with family or friends if you are local. The park is well cared for and despite several events transforming the park into a mud pitch it is brought back to lovely green looking park within couple of weeks - magic! There are not many trees around to hide in the shade during hot summer days but there are trees all around the park (where is a pathway split for walking and cycling) and there is a little patch of trees right in the middle which is like small fairy-tale gem (imagination is needed though which is not a problem for kids). When it's cold outside make sure you add an extra layer and take a hat simply because in Stoke park is always much colder than everywhere else - the wind is constantly going through with nothing in its way to stop it so be aware of that. In other words it's a great place for a short walk with kids or dogs, to have fun and play some ball games, take a kite on windy days or simply have a lovely picnic. I can tell it's a favorite location for runners as they can make a little stop by the fitness stations (for pull ups, push ups and many things) right next to the "Wildwood Adventure" site. The fitness area is well cared for by local borough council and gets regularly upgraded. Kids enjoy it too yet don't get extremely muddy thanks to the padding around. There is always the possibility to take the kids a bit further to the stoke park playground (right next to Guildford College) or paddling pool during summer (get very busy in hot days as...

Stoke Park in Guildford is my absolute sanctuary! I find myself drawn there time and time again, especially on sunny days. There's something truly magical about grabbing a coffee and simply chilling by the water. The gentle sounds of nature, the warmth of the sun, and the serene atmosphere create the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The park itself is beautifully maintained, with lush greenery and tranquil water features. It's the ideal spot to unwind and recharge. I've always found it to be clean, peaceful, and welcoming. Whether you're looking for a place to relax, enjoy a quiet moment, or simply soak up some sunshine, Stoke Park is the perfect destination. It's a true gem in Guildford, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Five stars simply don't...

Guilford spectrum swimming Well what can be said the hygiene levels there are much to be desired .it simply cannot cope with volume of people that visit the swimming pool changing rooms are small you should be at least get 2 people in them but cant. especially those with young children saying that not many changing rooms where you an get a pushchair in either the pool.area and the high levels you could see it hasnt been cleaned for months or years with rust marks visible on the white air ducts around the roof of building . They should scrub the pool areas everyday after closing with a trained and dedicated team. Would make the whole experience of visiting spectrum leisure complex alot more enjoyable experience and would potentially get more than 1 star rating on...

Stoke Park is located around 12 minutes away from Guildford High Street by walk. It is a 52 acre open park with trees on a corner, children’s park on another side with a paddling pool and model boat pond, skate boarding rink on yet another side. The Stoke park itself is open always, the children’s park may have some time slots though. The space and openness of park provides a sense of feel good and freedom. People with dogs often bring them to the park for a walk and some play. In summer it’s also a good place to have picnics and generally absorb the sunlight.
