Hampton Ferry (River Avon) — Attraction in Wychavon

Lovely spot but loses two stars as whoever is responsible for the car park, locked us in without warning. No signage, only 8pm on a sunny summer evening, and still a dozen cars on the car park.

Update following the owner's reply. Thank you for taking the time to reply. I would ask that you check the signs that you refer to. We checked on entry, and several more times after being locked in, and there was certainly no warning about gates being locked at a particular time. I fully appreciate the need to do lock up. I did not use the ferry but did plenty of walking in this area I only really found out about it when I was looking for all day parking a bargain at £2.00 for all day no worries of having to keep looking at the watch to ensure you are back in time for the parking meter. Access to Evesham town can be reached by a short walk along the river with plenty of seating to relax should you wish. Great weather Hampton ferry area many people about boats on the avon free swimmers even treated to a visit from a Swan with 3 cygnets she picked up juinors on her back they nestled between her wings and sailed of down river i took a photo when one poked its head up if I have posted the photo correctly you may be able to spot it as a grey spot behind mums neck well worth the visit 😀 😊 😄 😉...
