Edit. So after several years we have decided to order from here again (because when the food is right, it’s the best around) we had a lovely meal and everything was exactly what we had ordered. I felt it was only fair to update this review. I always felt the food here was the best in evesham, we just kept getting sent the wrong food.

Previous review Two stars So unfortunate that I feel the need to leave this bad review. I have been using yummi yummi for a takeaway service for a long time and the staff members are very friendly but they have consistently made errors in my order. For example I dont eat meat or egg and they have sent me meat dishes instead of vegetarian and rice with egg in instead of without. Then when I have let them know they sent out replacement, which is great, but the meals they send have been wrong again. Tonight my food was over an hour late, cold, soggy and then my vegetable fried rice had egg in when I specifically asked for no egg. I rang and let them know, they sent a replacement but it was a small plain rice and the portion was 1/3 of the vegetable fried rice that I paid for. My wife & I have just moved to Evesham, and had our first Chinese takeaway here this evening.

I am not exaggerating when I say it was the best Chinese takeaway I have ever had. It was so good I rang up after we had eaten to let the lovely owners know how good it had been. It was restaurant quality Chinese but at home.

It seems Chinese food across the country has generally got poorer in recent years, and I put part of this down to takeaways increasingly using premade / ready made food & skimping on some of the ingredients which make Chinese food so tasty.

The opposite is true here. We had the set menu B for 2 people, plus a portion of Peking style shredded beef. Everything tasted fresh. The battered parts were not thick or soggy but instead beautifully crispy & the proportions between meat & batter were perfect. Even the prawn crackers were lovely & seemed to be clearly made in the traditional way; which I haven’t seen for about 10 years.

We loved it as a takeaway & in a couple of weeks when we have family coming we’re going to go and eat in.

Genuinely buzzing to find this gem of a traditional Chinese restaurant still cooking things...

Yumi Yumi is truly yummy, this is the third chinese take away I've tried, both waterside and Chung's were not pleasant, hence my moving on to another takeaway, don't get me wrong, I did give them both 2 chances, thinking I may have caught them on a bad day, but was repeatedly disappointed, the food I got from Yumi Yumi tonight was delicious, the lady who took my order was both helpful and understanding when I phoned them to add to the order I'd already placed, the delivery driver was cheerful and polite and right on time.
