Visited the trumpet on a Tuesday evening.for a few pints of the hooky gold ale. thought it was excellent quality.a quick decision was made to stay a little longer than planned.as there was Liverpool v Barcelona game on the TV screen.so we ordered homemade steak and Guinness pie. at just 5 pounds .it was excellent value and we could not fault. it has a beer garden and front of pub seating .the pub is set back a little . but just yards from the merstow green car park and the new waitrose.the staff are also very friendly helpful and switched on.its spotlessly clean and I noticed they do Sunday lunch.will be back to try .for sure. a...

Good, solid standards are 'the norm' and there's no pretentious frills and fancy, but that is what provides the charm and character.
This pub caters for its regulars really well, and because they are catered for so well, they have no issues with all of the 'non-regulars' sharing in their 'World'. A win-win situation.
