Beautiful and brooding house next to the train tracks. It was late when we arrived and it looked closed up so we just took some photos from the street. Would love to return and see the inside. The wife insists since we missed the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum being closed as well. But we cannot consider the trip to be a total loss.

Very interesting place to visit. Excellent tour of the Mansion from top to bottom. Something of interest for everyone. Must make arrangements in advance. Plenty of parking in front of the Mansion. Easy to find. Make plans in advance so that you don't miss this place.

If you are into historical buildings and you are in Abilene, Kansas, the Lebold Massion is a must see! Where is this little town in Kansas, you ask? It's where our 34th President of the United States, Dwight D. Eisenhower's childhood home is located! This building is filled with history and many stories of it past. The owner of this property is a charming and hospitable host and Docent. He offers tours of this lovely piece of Americana. It is filled with numerous large rooms and many surprises like, a fully functiona moviel theater that will accommodate a fair sized group. You can book this beautiful mansion for a wedding, Christmas party, or any special event. Halloween is a spooktacular event there! This is a must see if you are on a road trip through Kansas! Donations are welcome to...

My 3 boys (6, 9, 11) and I happened to drive by this mansion on our way home to Nebraska. My kids were SO excited when we called and they were able to accommodate us on a short notice tour. We loved exploring all the different rooms and secrets that were waiting for us. The boys called my husband (who had to miss this trip) before we were even driving again and spent 10 minutes telling dad all about it! We felt 100% welcomed and would definitely reccomend visiting when you are in town.

Highlights for us were the tower, dugout area and the secret, ironic...

The Lebold Mansion is an amazing home and the owner, Joseph Tatner, has done a beautiful job restoring it. I loved the history and there is no doubt there are spirits there. I was fortunate enough to be able to spend the night in this wonderful place. It was comfortable and quiet in the Vampire room. I think the spirits were down in the basement with K.D. and Katy Stafford, Supernatural Ink, who as always, brought great insight and custom equipment to the investigation. Thanks to Haunted Knights Paranormal also. Love this place!! Go visit if you...
