Lebold Mansion — Attraction in Abilene

It's where our 34th President of the United States, Dwight D. Eisenhower's childhood home is located! This building is filled with history and many stories of it past. The owner of this property is a charming and hospitable host and Docent. He offers tours of this lovely piece of Americana. My 3 boys (6, 9, 11) and I happened to drive by this mansion on our way home to Nebraska. My kids were SO excited when we called and they were able to accommodate us on a short notice tour. We loved exploring all the different rooms and secrets that were waiting for us. The boys called my husband (who had to miss this trip) before we were even driving again and spent 10 minutes telling dad all about it! We felt 100% welcomed and would definitely reccomend visiting when you are in town.

The Lebold Mansion is an amazing home and the owner, Joseph Tatner, has done a beautiful job restoring it. I loved the history and there is no doubt there are spirits there. I was fortunate enough to be able to spend the night in this wonderful place. It was comfortable and quiet in the Vampire room. I think the spirits were down in the basement with K.D. and Katy Stafford, Supernatural Ink, who as always, brought great insight and custom equipment to the investigation.
