This is a nice quiet little sanctuary and I think it's that way because not many know about it...outside are the woods, a bird observatory, a pond, two screech owls and a friendly turkey vulture in wire enclosures. Inside are several rooms with all manner of reptiles, snakes, bugs, a blind possum, a rabbit, domestic rats, a chinchilla, a bearded dragon, and a turtle dove. They also have some children's books and a little table for little ones to have quiet time. The volunteers are always welcoming and they have a box for voluntary donations. The birds you can see here are turtle doves, cardinals, blue jays, yellow finches and sparrows. You see them from inside a wooden building out a window and they are a delight to the eyes! Plus in their ponds they have fish, frogs and turtles. Bring lunch and a book! Bring your kids! What a wonderful way to enjoy Our...
Read moreWe gave our son's 11th birthday party here on the weekend. The kids had such a blast. We are so glad that we chose this place. This place has a small museum, bird observatory and a trail for pond and then live animal encounter. So much to do for just 1 hour, perfect entertainment for the kids. Group always stayed and interacted together which made the party even more fun. Even adults got engaged. The staff is so passionate about nature. The director is working there for 20 years. After the party got over kids did not want to leave , they went back again on the trail as a group. We were not expecting the boys to have so much fun, but they enjoyed as much as girls did. Many thanks to the staff for giving us such a...

My son is on the spectrum so I was taking a chance going but we went downstairs and he really enjoyed everything else they had to offer. I ended up speaking with Heidi who ran Magic mornings and she was more than caring. She was extremely helpful and gave us some tips for next time and even let my son do some of the activities they did on his own. She really made me feel so much better about the situation. So if you have a child on the spectrum just mention it to them and I’m sure they will help accommodate your child the best they can. Highly...
