Super fun beach with gentle waves. There is a large picnic area outside quite a few picnic tables, in a semi shaded area. A paved trail goes around this location too.
We visited the beach mainly. Ample parking available. The sand is soft and has some small rocks mixed in
The beach slopes down to the waves. The edge of the waves have huge logs of Kelp and seaweed that are washed up, once you go beyond those, the water is clearer. The water is shallow for quite a bit of distance which is nice for families with smaller kids.
There is a $5 parking fee, to be paid in the lot.
There were bathrooms but no showers.
Lot of kite surfers and wind surfers in the water. Saw a few planes passing by which was a treat.
LOTS of seagulls and pigeons on the beach, some kids were scared of them as they fly super low. But they didnt bother anyone.

The City of Alameda, California beach area gives me splendid moments to breathe oxygen in an attempt to clear my mind. Plus, I have an opportunity to jog and to workout, lightly, without any hassles or visible frustration or agitation. I remember going to the Alameda Beach in 1969 or 1970 with my African American family to have my father to play lead. It is still a beautiful site to see in the year of 2024. Thanks!
