Connors Bog Dog Park — Attraction in Alaska

Connor’s Bog Dog Park has quickly become one of my favorite places in Anchorage. I love how wooded and peaceful it is—you really feel like you’re escaping into nature while still being right in town. The trails are beautiful for walking and hiking, and there’s so much space for the dogs to explore.

Every single dog (and owner) I’ve encountered here has been so friendly and respectful, which means a lot to me since I have a now-blind bloodhound that I keep on a leash. All the off-leash pups we’ve met have been gentle and kind when they come up to greet her, which makes our visits so much more enjoyable.

It’s the perfect place for dogs to get fresh air, exercise, and socialization in a safe, welcoming environment. The only thing to watch out for—bring bug spray! The mosquitos can be pretty bad certain times of year, but that’s just part of enjoying Alaska’s outdoors.

Connors Bog is easily our favorite dog park in the world. It’s massive. There are so many dogs at all hours to play with. There is a wonderful woman who seems to have taken it upon herself to clean up rogue poos. We see her there all the time. The majority of dog owners are responsible, laid back, and friendly. This has become our home away from home....
