Taco King — Restaurant in Alaska

NEVER AGAIN! I have been a long time customer of Taco King, but after tonight, no more. I usually only go to the restaurants. a couple years ago, I got delivery and it was all wrong so I vowed no more delivery. then a couple months ago, we were too lazy to go out so decided to risk it and had great results! tonight, with the crazy wind and rain, decided to risk it again. waited for over an hour, then the order was wrong. my food was right, but my husband's was wrong and they didn't bring the specifically requested salsas.

called to complain. to their credit, the said they were sending someone to fix it. 25 more minutes (now my food is cold), and someone shows up with my husband's right food order. unfortunately, they still don't bring the right salsas I ordered. the delivery person said she had more in the vehicle and that she would be right back. she gets in the vehicle AND LEAVES. I mean, seriously?! all she had to do was be honest and apologize!

I call back and complain again and the phone person literally couldn't care less. and when i say that i would tell folks to not order from them any longer, his response is "ok great. thank you!". wow. mistakes happen and i totally get that, but an apology as the barest glimmer of customer service would have gone a long way.

shame on...

The food is nothing to go gaga over but is good and the staff are very friendly. Would of given a higher rating. But today when looking at bank statement from my delivery order last night from them. I see that they charged more than what I signed for. Even after giving the driver a gracious tip of 5 dollars which is well above fair being they already charge a delivery fee. So at this point am not sure if there was a typo once back at restaurant or if driver did the typo when running card at my home. None the less be sure if ordering by delivery to check card statements next day. The overcharge was only 5.55 but thats not the point. I have yet to have this resolved but will say that so far the call center has been helpful and friendly. And so assume this will end with them happily fixing. Accidents happen which I assume and hope is why this occurred. And as long as it is resolved in a timely manner then they have 5 stars from me and will update my review. Further more one should always confirm what was charged with any restuarant so do not think Taco King is dishonest or anything. They are an upstanding buisness. I really hate to write this and usually dont do this but Taco Kings food was absolutely terrible. I hate to do this because the staff was very friendly and helpful but the food was awful. Im not a picky eater and love mexican food but i would tell someone to get taco bell before ever going here. I had the beef chimichanga and it came soupy with no flavor in it at all. My girlfriend had the chicken chimichanga and the shredded ckn tasted like it came from a can. I have no idea how this place has good reviews. Maybe its for the staff, and like i said they were very nice and the food was ready very quicly but the quality was highly lacking. This is my first time to Anchorage so maybe mexican food isnt...
