The WORST customer service EVER. I checked in on June 2nd for a 3 month stay. The first time I emptied the black tank unbeknownst to me, their sewer was blocked, resulting in a huge gush of sewage all over me until I could close my tank. I called the front office who sent a person to see what they could do. She arrived and giggled at me. Then another guy came and looked amazed at the whole thing. The office girl pranced away giggling at the situation and I said something about her just walking away without a solution. An hour later, I called the office to find out what they were going to do and they said "we have to call the maintenance manager to get the key to make the hole out. 45 minutes later the guy came to snake the hole out. He and the other worker were talking about me "having a crappy day" and "this is a shty situation". They couldn't clear it and had to call in someone who sucked out a huge rock. HE, along with the other park workers giggled and joked about my predicament for another 30 minutes. 4.5 hours later the hole is cleared. As I was getting ready to get into the shower, the manager knocked at my door and said "The person we sent to help you is only 16 years old and you hurt her feelings. She told her daddy...who owns this place, and we're evicting you. We don't tolerate that behavior toward our employees. She refused to hear my side of the story string "we don't care. You SHOULD apologize to her, but we're still evicting you". They did NOT refund me for July 1 and July 2. And if you question them about the refund, they threaten to call cops on you. Someone else got evicted that week because someone failed to clean up their dog poop in front of her RV and they assumed it was her(she was at work). These people have NO work ethic and NO customer service. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE PEOPLE. Here were...
Read moreOur truck broke down in Cantwell, at the time we were leaving to drive to Anchorage. I had already made my reservation for 6 nights in May. I called immediately to let them know that we would be towed in, after hours, and if they could accomodate us with a site where the tow truck would easily be able to "drop" our travel trailer.
I was connected to a young man called Kadeem(???), who was very friendly, understanding and accomodating. He gave me the site number 124, and when we arrived, at 10pm, our site had a yellow sign on it that said reserved for the "Pope family".
The next morning, at 8.45am, I was waiting in front of the office door to pay for our stay. They open at 9am, but yet another nice young man( I don't know his name), let me in early, because we were waiting for the car rental company to come and pick us up. Our Good Sam discount was honoured, and again, we had a postive experience.
The bathrooms, both male and female, were very clean, though very hot. I have not used the laindrybroom yet, but it looks big enough and clean.
Great location, close to bus stoo if you need it, noise of road not bothersome to us. Our site was a very nice site for our 28 ft travel trailer, since it was an end site. I can see where others say that the spaces are small, especially with bigger rigs, but for my personal review I have to give this campground 5*, because of the nice...
Read moreCampground now only accepts 2095 and newer, however they have not removed the older ones that are currently in there park. We own a 2021 Special construction motorhome, showed management the registration and a copy of the title… Management did not care and told us we had to be out within a couple hours. I explained again to them that we were in Anchorage building a store in the Dimond Center and was only in Alaska till November 6th. Management told me they did not care and it does not matter if our bus is not gone they will have it towed. Management did not care that we had no where to go. They did not care the year of our motorhome because it looked old… I told them we had it constructed that way because we like vintage look, it’s no different then some of the new trailers out there like air stream and others going for the vintage look.
I attached pictures as the ones on the website are either photo shopped or old and does not portray the RV park as of today.
Our custom 2021 Special Constructed Motorhome is the teal with the Jeep and they actually parked us next to the cargo trailer that someone is living in.
We talked with Midtown RV and they took us in when we told them about the situation with Golden Nugget. I would rather give my money to someone who is respectful...
