Yesterday I took my child and a friend of mine‘s children to the Polar Bear Playground Russian Jack Springs Park North. During playtime in the children’s area company Atlas Working K-9's headed by specialized trainer Megan decided it was a good idea to practice some of their dog training in the area specifically designated for children between the ages of 2 - 5. The children were left to remove themselves from that particular area of the park grounds, being left only to play on one portion of the gymnasium. Some even frightened discontinuing play altogether. I found this to be completely inconsiderate and negligent on behalf of this Business. While doing further research I also found that they in fact did not have a permit to perform their obedience training in that park.
With that said, I only ask that the Business and the trainers be more responsible with where and how they perform their meet ups and K-9...

After you get beyond that it is a fun time for your kids! They will love it here! Huge play place! There is a smaller park further in with a covered seating area. The seating area is not the cleanest but they have one….there are “soccer fields” in the back but also need to mindful what is going on back there if you go in. Typically no need to take littles in there. Beautiful sights back in there if nothing is going on. I got photos of everything...
Read moreEasy access if your looking to get the kids outside. Very open area making it easy to keep the children in eye site. There is a dog park located behind the playground. Your fur babies will love it there. Whether you'd like to long leash them and allow them to run the open field ( scoorer field) or go back woods along the trail its a good place for both you and the dog (or dogs) some exercise and fresh air. Keep in mind so people choose to not leash their dog, and for me isn't a real concern unless the dog is aggressive. Sadly you won't know until the strange dog rolls up on you and you fur child.
