Can fix anything digital I believe, very well as very reasonably prices. So glad that other owner is gone and someone beyond good is now running it and doing a great job of rebuilding the shop's reputation!!! I had a quite bad experience with this company. It was bad, very bad . The worst I have had in decades. Some people are chronic complainers. I am not. This is about both locations
My son's Android phone had a screen go bad so you couldn't see the screen half black and half white. There were no visible cracks. I have insurance on the phone and started to do a claim, then thought I would try to support a local business and chose this one. BIG MISTAKE.
I took time off from work to drive to Albany store in the mall because they didn't have the part in their Corvallis store. I was told it could be fixed while I waited in less than an hour. I dropped the phone in there went for a walk for about 30 minutes. Came back asked if it was ready and the guy told me we're still working on it. I could see he was not, he was talking on the telephone. To me if you're working on it you will have it on your bench in front of you and it was not. I left for another 15 to 20 minutes came back again ask again if it was ready and was told again, we're still working on it. Again I could see he was not. I finally decided I would come back and just wait in the store hoping that would get it done quicker.
The guy finally came out and with the phone being dead had to plug it in to see that the screen will light up and it did light up. I paid the $90, and brought the phone home to my son and gave it to him only to realize that they had done a factory reset on it somehow. Which lost all his recent photos . We tried a phone call to find out the mic and the speaker were extremely garbled too bad to understand.
I took the phone down to the Corvallis store told the girl the problem. She said I have to take the phone back to the Albany store and I said I was not prepared to do that. She blamed the problems on me. Granted the girl was young and I assume inexperienced at handling customers, especially fielding problems. She continued to blame the problems on me and the conversation got more and more heated. With an inoperative screen, how would one get several menus deep with those tiny buttons to factory reset it? When I would not accept what she was telling me she told me to get out - leave the store.
I'm a very easy going person, not at all easy to anger, but I would not accept that we had caused the problem and asked for a refund. I told her I could just dispute the credit card charge, and she said no you can't, because you signed it. I happen to know better. She ordered me to get out of the store and got me so angry.
I asked for the owner to call me in about an hour later he did. I began the conversation by immediately apologizing for getting so angry. Then proceeded to tell him what's wrong with the phone. He joined her in telling me it was my fault. I told him I thought I would like a refund, tho I would settle for half my money back. He said the only way I could get a 50% refund was to have them put the bad screen back in it. He also claimed another customer heard me cursing at her – AND - I NEVER SAID A CURSE WORD, and THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE IN THE STORE!
It was such a bad experience; I never want to go in that store again. I don't want to deal anymore with this company. And I don't particularly want to end up paying $45 to have the phone returned to its completely inoperative state. How ridiculous...
Read moreAfter walking by the shop and seeing the sign, I decided to stop by and ask the gentleman behind the counter if my phone needed a new charging port or was just dirty. They looked at the port, pulled out a tool, cleaned it and vacuumed it out. My phone would have the charging cord fall out if you so much as breathed on it. So many charging issues with my phone for almost a year. Fixed in 2 minutes and was told no charge since it was so fast.
I have some other things I need to get fixed on my phone, and I'm absolutely going here for any issues I have. I can totally understand why spinware has such a high rating. Thank you folks...

They quoted him a reasonable price, the part arrived on time, and they were very knowledgeable and communicative with us throughout the whole process. Once the part arrived, they got it fixed quickly and had the laptop back to us within the same day looking and working like new! We are very glad to have this service available to us here in Corvallis, especially as it saves us having to drive to Albany or even Portland.
