I hate leaving bad restaurant reviews. That said, totally we were utterly neglected. I could probably stop there and you’d get the point, but I’ll elaborate.
Our family stopped in for lunch after our kids’ soccer game. We arrived a mere six minutes after opening, and we were seated immediately. We were soon attended by a young man who explained he was not going to be our server, and that he was just helping Lily out. He took our orders and brought our kids’ sodas a few minutes later. That was the last time we felt like anyone paid our table any attention. A runner from the bar brought my root beer float and my wife’s house margarita, which was made regular despite having been ordered as a strawberry. The drink was awful, and tasted like a glass of margarita mixer and salt. We didn’t see anyone at our table again until our food arrived via another runner (still not our server), who didn’t learn of our need for another root beer or dipping sauces because she dropped the food and boogied without asking if we needed anything else.
Our server finally visited our table for the first time about 40 minutes after we arrived. I had seen her buzzing around her other tables plenty during our time there, and I’m not sure why we were apparently forgotten. By the time my second root beer float arrived, we were quite ready to leave (my wife and daughter had already departed to do some shopping nearby, having tired of waiting for the check).
The food was mediocre, as my bbq chicken sandwich had almost zero sauce on it, and the fries were lukewarm.
I’m not sure what the hell happened today, but it was not like any Red Robin experience I’ve ever had, and we’ve eaten at Red Robin a lot more than I’m happy to admit. While service is usually famously fast and attentive, and the food is usually hot and delicious, everything just seemed to fall flat today. I was also disappointed to see the side of beer cheese that I ordered (usually brought in a small sauce cup for $1 extra) came in a boat that cost me $2.99.
I will say that our server took something of a hint from my wife and daughter’s absence upon bringing my second float, and she offered to put it in a to-go cup for me. She also apologized for the delay, but it was just too little, too late, despite our family’s easygoing nature.
Having previously lived near the Eugene location, and worked near the Woodburn location, I’ve only been to the Albany restaurant one other time (earlier this year), and the service was similarly slow and inattentive, which I had figured was a one-off. Perhaps this location’s crew needs to visit a sister store to see what they’re doing different. I sadly can’t see myself returning to this one again. It’s $86 I wish I hadn’t...
Read moreIt sucks that I can only give this restaurant one star as they deserve zero. Me, my girlfriend, and her daughter went to Red Robin and was served by a young lady named Kenna. It’s pretty ridiculous that after asking her for something 3 times and she still couldn’t get it right. First my girlfriends daughters freckled lemonade came in The for of water with strawberries in it. After asking for a replacement, that she did not get until she was halfway done with her food, having to come back to our table twice as my girlfriend ask for a few sauces that she finally received, and my fried pickle appetizer coming out after the entrees, I figured the least we would get is a sincere apology. This was laughable as compared to my girlfriend-having to get up from our meal to get us silverware and napkins. You would think it would have ended there but it actually gets much better. I did not want to tip her but still tipped her 9% though the service did not even merit me paying for the meal. My girlfriends daughter got a migraine and was in tears so she and her mom went home ahead of me as I proceed to leave as I continue the meal. I am now walking out of the restaurant after paying to answer my phone and it be my girlfriend staying the very same waitress was actually bad mouthing us and our table with another associate. Doesn’t end there, as I am walking out the door still on the phone with my girlfriend shocked about what I was listening to only to hear a voice screaming ,”sir did you pay?” I turn around to see....you guessed it, Keena in close pursuit running after me. Finally she caught up and said again did you pay? I turned around and stated yes, the receipt is behind you (no more than a foot) you dropped it chasing me. Then I turned to walk out embarrassed and regretful that I ever stepped foot in this restaurant. NEVER WILL I EVER STEP FOOT IN THIS RED...
Read moreI use to love red robin but the last two experiences were so bad i have to rate them a one. The first horrible experience was in Albany. We noticed that our waitress had somewhere between 10 and 12 tables that she was handling, that too many for even the very best waitress. So it took awhile before she could come to the table and take our order. Luckily I ordered an appetizer, which came out in a reasonable amount of time. We finished the appetizer and waited an entire HOUR before our meal arrived. Everyones food was cold, and i mean cold! By this time we had waited so long we were running behind schedule and the restaurant was busy, so we knew we could not send it back and expect our meal in a decent amount of time. We told the waitress who was very apologetic and she said she would get the manager for us. 15 mins later still no manager, 2 more requests made and she refused to speak with us. Now the table next to us got up and walked out because their food took so long. Long story short i felt sorry for the waitress who was really trying and the manager obviously could care about her polite customers, because we didnt make a scene. In Salem my daughter and her friends went, the wrong food was brought to the table, everything was cold and one burger had been cooked so much that it was obviously burnt and the bun was so hard you could not bite through it. The manager in that location said he was too busy in the kitchen to talk, but offered free soda... really😩 that doesn't fix it. Plus they tried to charge them for the more expensive item ordered vs the plain hamburger served🤔 all i can say is est...
