Bohm Theatre — Attraction in Albion

My wife and I attended the Selwyn Birchwood blues show here this past Monday evening. I'd been to a blues show here quite a few years ago and enjoyed it and this experience was every bit as good. The theatre is exceptionally clean and well maintained, a real treasure of a venue that deserves more support. The show was fantastic, including the sound, but I was disappointed that there were less than 100 people in attendance. They sold beer and wine for this show, which they apparently do on occasion, and they have a nice concession stand with popcorn and other items typically sold at a movie theater. This theater has been fully restored again to it's lovely, old time grandeur, and both the sound and the picture are fantastic! The staff all seemed to be cheerful enough, and the theater was clean. Plenty of parking was available as Albion has so many closed down businesses downtown. The Bohm has 2 screens with 1 in the main auditorium, and 1 right next door. The auditorium has 2 levels, the main floor and the balcony. The balcony is only open on Thursdays for the first day showings of a film. I haven't seen the 2nd screen yet. The popcorn...

I remember reading about this closed theatre some years ago and never having been in the town did not know much more. But the name caught my attention and I had inquired about it.
