The store personifies the words, "small town" in the best possible way! The shop offers a wide variety of needs for a small community that doesn't want to go far; items such as fresh fruits, veggies and dairy products and meats for those last second dinners...but it also offers SO much more! The snack items range from fancy crisps to imported cheese that seem to illicit an, "oh neat" response when gazed upon. If you want some good spirits or wines to go with those snacks the store also has you covered with an intimate but high quality number of drinks to chose from! Superior Mercantile is an excellent place to stop into and find great new products. I stopped in there tonight just wanting an interesting drink. I didn’t want Coke or Pepsi. I wanted something without a bunch of sugar. They had a nice selection of options. They also had tons of interesting cookies, crackers, cheeses, chocolate and other snacks. They carry Moville milk, which is by far my favorite. That alone is worth the stop. I love this little store. I would recommend a couple things though. One consider having some of the foundry bread pre-sliced as some might want to have a sandwich in their car. Also I would consider maybe one or two small shopping carts for older customers. Carrying the little basket can get heavy with even a few items and they tire easily and might shop longer if they didn't have to carry a basket...
