If you’re in the mood to eat delicious Korean food in the area, I absolutely recommend trying out this place!
We stopped in to the market to get some essentials to make Korean barbecue at home. We had no idea that there was also a restaurant attached! And since we were there around lunchtime, it was a no-brainer to try the food. And it did not disappoint!
The market has essentials to make Korean food staples. About the only thing that wasn’t available was soju, which I understand because they would need a liquor license. They did have everything else we were looking for: samgyeopsal, ggaenip, kimchi, gochu garu, ssamjang, etc. Despite being a small market, it was well stocked.
We ordered a variety of dishes to try. They were all, without exception, delicious and well prepared. We ordered: gimbap, japchae, bulgogi, and haemul pajeon. They served us boricha, which is my favorite and it was a nice surprise. My favorite dish was definitely the haemul pajeon; it was flavorful, perfectly crisped, and packed with seafood.
The staff were welcoming and friendly. The ambiance was peaceful. Restroom was clean.

Read moreI reviewed many ratings before my first time eating at the restaurant today. I agree with most reviewers that the food is good. I am very hard to please, and I found the place was clean and the service was good. I would definitely say if I found anything unacceptable. All three dishes served to us were very large. I do agree with the reviewers who said there was not quite enough meat in the meat dishes. This is likely a culturally American perspective, I would imagine - me included. I expected the meat to dominate the dish and be present in every bite. That isn't how it was. I did observe that the meat was in equal portion to other elements in the dish, and I bet that was the chef's real intention. The meat that was there was very tasty, though. I really liked the pickled radish side. That was the first I ever had. So this hard to please person would encourage you to try out the place. You may want to adjust your expectations about the amount of meat you'll have in your meal. I will, and I will dine...

Having lived in (South) Korea, we know a thing or two about authentic Korean cuisine. We're also very fond of some of the country's staples, and so we were very excited to try this place out.
The restaurant shares a building with the same company's modest supermarket, and so from the street an uninitiated passerby might not realize there's more than a Korean food market inside. Once inside you'll be greeted by a friendly staff, and are free to choose your own table.
We've enjoyed the Dolsot BiBimBap, the Bulgogi, and various side dishes customary for Korean cuisine. It is all delicious and authentic.
The staff are extremely friendly and attentive; they will ensure your banchan (side dishes) are kept replenished as well. Prices are extremely reasonable.
