This used to be my go to nail salon. They are always friendly for the most part but there is ONE nail tech that I somehow always get and I’ve talked to management about how I wasn’t happy with the services received by this particular nail tech. I’m not a confrontational person and it’s hard for me to reject someone when that’s who they assign me with… anyway the first time I had a pedicure and acrylic nails put on at the same time for Halloween my nails were so bulky and thick with acrylic that it looked awful and she layered gel nail polish and made it even thicker. I was embarrassed to say anything but next time I went I asked the manager to not assign me to her again and they agreed so the manager’s husband did my nails and pedicure, I was satisfied. Next time I went I was assigned to the awful nail tech again and I thought I’d give her a shot again but she was entirely unprofessional, she cut my nails too short and then asked if that was okay for the length of course I agreed because there was no going back from there, my supposed to be almond nails looked like triangles and I tried to speak up but she talked over me very rudely and ignored me, I tried again but she acted like she couldn’t hear me. And when I finally got her attention she basically yelled at me that this is what I wanted. She didn’t cut my cuticles, she didn’t clean up the acrylic from underneath the nail nor lotion my hands afterward. I felt as if I was bullied. Anyway, I went back for an acrylic pedicure a week after which was this past Saturday and to my surprise she was the ONLY TECH who knew how to do acrylic toes… since my feet were already soaking and didn’t want to be rude, I let her do my service and again she was very, very rude not only to me but to my friend who came with me. My acrylic toes are so thick and shaped oddly (never have I had such an awful experience with an acrylic pedicure anywhere else) when I tried to tell her she again proceeded to ignore me. I won’t be returning because I almost feel like they purposely give me to her and maybe it’s a joke to them. I think her...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer for 3+ years and always recommended this place, especially MiMi. However, my experience yesterday changed that. I got my nails done, but the polish was splotchy, uneven, and clumpy. Since they were closed for the night,I returned the next day to fix it.
The first tech saw the problem, apologized, and offered to fix it. She provided new colors to choose from and started removing the old polish. After the polish was removed, MiMi jumped in and informed me that I would need to pay $25 for a different color or wait an additional 30 minutes for the same color to “thicken” in the freezer. She explained that new polishes can be too watery and might need to be placed in the freezer. MiMi also mentioned that the same problem could occur again with the same color, and she wouldn’t fix it a second time. I don’t understand why it’s my fault that because I unknowingly chose a brand new color that hadn’t been used before that I now therefore have to pay extra to have it fixed when she knew that this could happen.
When I questioned the charge for a new color, I clarified that since they removed the old polish and needed to start over anyway, there would be no extra work to use a different color that was ready to go, rather than waiting for the original color to thicken. MiMi insisted there was nothing wrong with the original polish and that it was clear I just didn’t like it. After some dispute, I opted for the color change because I didn’t want it to happen again and I needed to get back to work and couldn’t wait an extra 30 minutes after I’d already been there for 40 minutes. Once opting for a color change, MiMi reluctantly offered a 50% discount and “apologized” for the inconvenience. Another tech had initially said a color change wouldn’t be charged, implying that prices vary between techs, and MiMi, being the boss, chose to charge extra despite my loyalty.
I am disappointed with the poor customer service and will not...
Read moreI treated my daughter to a mani pedi for her birthday. She had gel nails and I had a regular manicure/pedicure. The salon is very clean with comfortable chairs. I could have gone to sleep in the chair! The music was lovely and there were movies with subtitles playing. We didn’t want to leave until we saw the end of the movie. lol The best part was how friendly and nice everyone was-and how perfect our nails were. We were there two weeks ago and my nails are still good! I wash dishes and do yard work and clean. This picture is TWO weeks after with me being hard on my hands, with the nails growing out and the fact I trimmed them a bit because I like short nails. Please go see them if you want a super experience and a manicure that lasts! (Wish I had taken a picture when we were first done so you could see how wonderful they are rather than two weeks old) (but seriously, how many manicures do you get where your nails chip the next day or your gel nails just pop off in a week? These...
