Quite disappointing! Just another Chinese Restaurant and nothing special. Instead of a typical review, I'm just going to post one sentence observations and the reader can pick and choose whats relevant and important to them and what is not: My Wife and chose to try this place at 5pm on a Friday night. There were 2 other patrons and a steady amount of people coming and going to pick up their takeout. WARNING IF YOU EAT-IN: Be prepared to have impatient people standing around your table and single men sitting next to you while they wait for their takeout food! This made the atmosphere somewhat uncomfortable to be honest. There was one person (a woman) working the front counter, answering the phone, waiting on tables and dealing with takeout. Just one. On a Friday night. We got the Dinner for 2 priced at $11.50 each. My wife's soft drink was actually a can of coke opened in front of us and poured into her glass. Strange. Someone's child (obviously a son of a worker there) sat at a table next to use and did his best to keep himself busy with his phone and some clay. We observed a table of pea pods in a pile on a table near the kitchen door. Someone must be cleaning them? After 30 minutes a man from the kitchen came and put plastic on top of the pea pods. We got our appetizers within 15 minutes. Nothing special- egg/spring rolls looked like they were from Costco. The 2 ribs we got were 2'' long. The 2 wings we received were quite oily. Our main dishes came and were warm. Not hot. Warm. Again, nothing special. Sweet and sour chicken? Yup. Sesame chicken. Yes it is. And its warm. Not hot & fresh like others have posted. Our waitress/server/greeter/phone-order-taker/all-in-one never checked on us once. Not once! She needed another helper so badly. At then end of our meal, we received our to-go boxes and our check. The table next to us received a pen and were able to pay at their table. I had to wait in line to pay my bill at the counter. Why? So that was our experience. An uncomfortable environment (peek in before you sit down so you can see how it REALLY looks in there) and you're forced to deal with people hovering around your table while they wait for their takeout. Warm food and not close to being hot. A bored (but quiet) child in the dining room with nothing to do. An understaffed restaurant with a woman/owner who doesn't check on how you're doing. Thats it. Nothing special here in fact, kind of annoying. This place should stick to nothing but takeout. Have you Albuquerque people really been to a good Chinese restaurant? Its not this one. The only thing my wife and I were happy about was that we tried someplace new to eat instead of our old standbys. But we...
Read moreSmall restaurant with a number of tables. Plenty of carry out orders served. We waited for a few minutes to be sat. When we did sit down the table was very dirty but the server/cashier was kind enough to clean it. Walls and other tables looked a bit dirty (maybe we just missed the rush). Still, unpleasant to sit at a dirty table. We ordered sesame chicken which was not bad but not definitely not good. It tasted a bit over cooked and chewy. Egg rolls were very oily and sauce was nothing special. We also ordered Broccoli beef and it was better (in comparison to the sesame chicken). Rice was brought on a plate? Every Chinese restaurant I've gone to will normally serve the rice in a covered bowl so that it keeps hot. A little disappointing but it was cooked well. We ordered hot jasmine tea and ice water. The container for the tea was very dirty... I felt that 2 - 2.5 stars for the food is accurate. It was not reflective of other 4 star reviews...
