Abq coffee is my regular choice when Iâm wanting to treat myself. My partner and I arrived, there was only one barista. I ordered an oat milk matcha and an iced coffee with cream for my partner. The barista asked if we wanted whole milk or half and half. I replied whole milk. When our order was called I approach the counter where the barista is holding half and half over a very milky looking iced coffee. Fine, my partner got half and half instead was my thought, but then the barista asked me to tell her how much cream I wanted added. I said it looks good as it is and she said she didnât add any yet and proceeded to poor in half and half. I tell her thatâs enough and ask what the drink is she made. She had made a late. I reminded her that I ordered an iced coffee. She replied that they do not have iced coffee, only coffee that comes from the espresso machine. I thought it was strange that it wasnât mentioned at the register or that an Americano wasnât offered instead. She offered to remake it but my partner was okay with what was presented. When we get back to the car I take a sip from my matcha and it tastes like watery oat milk. We ran back to the house so I could add matcha powder to it myself. I truly believe this barista was new and left there to work by herself because I had never seen her before. Extremely unprofessional of the establishment and discouraging to the barista herself. Luckily I had some points that I was able to redeem so our terrible experience went from $13 to $9. 3 stars instead of 1 because Iâve had many wonderful experiences with both the coffee shop as well as browsing the shops for gifts.    Read moreSo, I ordered a cappuccino with added vanilla to it ( which is an additional extra cost), so to make a vanilla cappuccino. But, let me tell you what, there was no vanilla nothing about it, I couldn't even taste it and the cappuccino coffee in and of itself wasn't that great neither with even adding two packets of sugar in the raw didn't help this disaster of a coffee. I also think the prices were pricey for what I got or rather lack thereof, since I paid extra but didn't taste it, etc. I do not recommend this coffee place at all. However, I will recommend their house made muffins. I had the cinnamon one and it was really really good, it was fresh and it was even heated up for me. Another thing, I would recommend would be the atmosphere, etc. of the Abq Collective because they even had a couple of violinists just to give you one example. There's a lot of cute little boutiques and services in the...
Read moreI was looking for a place to grab a coffee one morning before going to check out some museums, and stopped into the Collective to check it out. I had come there for a cup of coffee and morning bite to eat, and I returned later for gifts. The Collective has a lot going on for it. You can get a lot of New Mexico and ABQ-geared gifts for any member of the family. You can get a haircut at either the saloon, or the barber, depending on booking. There's food available at the café, a tattoo artist, and spa in addition to the antiques and other knickknacks everywhere. Great place to stop if you just got into town, or you are on your way out, although if you are leaving town you might have wished you'd...
