I was so looking forward to my tattoo with Nicole. Unfortunately, she was a no show for my appointment. She booked me a 4 hour appointment on September 1 and a backup appointment on the September 29th incase we did not finish in the first appointment’s timeframe.
When I arrived the lady up front said that Nicole was not there and that I was not on the books. I tried showing my text confirmation but she did not even look at it, she just called Nicole.
I heard the entire conversation where Nicole took zero responsibility and said that I had not even spoke to her since this appointment which was not true. She asked me to send her pictures of styles I liked. I did and she said that what I sent was perfect. I told her I was looking forward to seeing her in September.
All of this to walk in there today to be told that there was nothing to be done except come back for my appointment on the 29th. Only after I requested my deposit and to cut ties was an apology made but still zero responsibility taken. Just excuses about a glitch and the fact the had another appointment scheduled today that she would’ve been doing when I arrived if they had not canceled.
Just a really unfortunate and unprofessional experience all around. Be cautious when scheduling appointments because regardless of having text and email confirmations, you still might be leaving disappointed.
TO LUCKY CRICKETS RESPONSE BELOW:
Lucky Cricket Tattoo,
I’m posting the text that was sent to offer discounted services when the goal was not an apology or to make things right, it was to have me take down the review.
While mistakes do happen it’s your responsibility as a business owner to care for your customers and offer resolution or resolve but that did not happen till after the review was posted and again the goal was to have the review taken down.
I’m disappointed by your response to include unnecessary information about your employees who are neurodivergent. While I completely understand that all people perceive and interpret communication in different ways, as a business, there should be a way that you can support customer concerns while also supporting your employees needs.
In fact, if someone had told me we’re sorry, we are not sure how to handle this situation because of X,Y, and Z, this would’ve probably went a lot differently. However, that is not what happened and instead the employees were talking about me in a very nasty way where I could hear them and making it seem like it was my error and not the shops. Maybe a training for your employees on how to handle customer concerns while also supporting their individual needs would be beneficial.
I seriously hope that you can learn from this as business and that your efforts in the future with...

For Dawn: I originally met Dawn at her previous workshop pace on Kingston Pike. When I found out she had started work at another studio, I had zero hesitation to make the drive to get quality advice, piercings, and jewelry. I live in North Knox, but I will gladly make the 30-45 minute drive every time. She is the kindest, most understanding piercer I have ever met. She actually cares about your anatomy, piercing history, and healing process. Check out my girl Dawn because she is THE BEST 💖
I got nose piercing, my higher second and third lobe, as well as my conch with Dawn.
For the business: The building looks small on the outside, but when you walk in it transforms into this super cute space. It’s very clean and organized. You can tell the staff if kind, courteous, and always speaks highly of the owner. There are people who have expressed the prices being expensive in the past, but you truly do get what you pay for. I’ve been to studios who charge the same prices, but do not bring the same value and respect. Check out Lucky Cricket Tattoo - voted Blount County’s #1 studio!
