2nd Floor Opening Day Review!!! They've worked to capture a German Biergarten feel here with some of the most iconic menu items, and they serve a great raddler! The decorations, including the restrooms, were fantastic. Our server was amazing and communicated so well with us, while following up with the table frequently. I do have some suggestions: Music volume upstairs was more "club" than "restaurant" and we couldn't converse. I suggest bringing that down some, or making a decision between the two spaces, one loud and one not. Some entrees were a bit disappointing, especially in comparison on plates. The schnitzel looked great plated out and then the pick-2 sausage entree next to it looked lackluster. It really needed something else (dry currywurst isn't what I was anticipating). One thing about German cuisine is that the portions are always huuuuge! Could have been a bit more generous here without adding significant food cost. The flatbread pizza was just ok, nothing standout. Reminded me of school lunch. The big pretzel was a hit, though. The restaurant might just drop the flatbread from the menu altogether, it brings down the average. Adding some kasespaetzle instead of Mac&cheese to the menu and working up some sauteed mushroom/onions or some Königsberger sauce for the sausage plating would be a great win.

We used to come to this restaurant/bar often when it was the Bierhaus. We were excited to hear they added a rooftop deck and new management was hoping to make a more Biergarten vibe when they switched ownership and reopened in July. Unfortunately we are very disappointed with multiple aspects of this change. The food is no longer authentic. There are many of the same items on the menu (like schnitzel) as there was under the former ownership and chef, but now those are just wrong and flavorless. The gurkensalat is no longer good- it is a bland cucumber with sour cream side with carrots and red onions (?!). No flavor. The spaetzle is terrible- super bland not even salted and dry like eating dough, though it looks pretty. (See photo) There are many new dishes which make no sense, like tacos, paprika chicken, goulash, shrimp dishes, etc. The fries were chewy like they had been fried a while ago. We won’t eat here again unless it is literally just a brat- and it’s sad for us. Ambience wise, this is now filled with screaming people just drinking and there is a TV. There are now some weird thrones here- I guess that’s for Instagram? The place is ruined.

A co-worker suggested this place and I re-visited a few days later during a business trip. I usually only order Wiener Schnitzel at a German restaurant, so I did here as well. Served only with garlic parmesean french fries as a side. The Schnitzel was decent size and is genuine veal (not pork). I found the breading pretty "mealy" and not to my taste, but refreshing to have a hot schnitzel. Bar area and dining room were decent size and average service. Staff wear somewhat traditional clothes for Bavaria. German beer on tap with plenty of sizes and I think I noticed Bier in a glass boot as well. I'm used to choices of sides (especially on business travel with attempts at somewhat healthy portions) and would have preferred to have to option to include a salad, vegetables, cucumber salad, etc. instead of only french fries (although tasty!). I feel like the price was on the expensive side, although it is veal which is not so common. There is a create your own platter for Wurst. I think this is a great idea and will consider this next time I visit. Still a bit pricey, but willing to try it out. Prost!

Greatest Modern European Restaurant on the planet. Where they serve exclusive European cuisine in the market of reality. Wow! This is super successful to be in the awesome community process for the Global Population for special features indeed. Yes, it's the spirit of Central European Culture that takes place here. NO issue, no doubt, no demonstration. Everyone worldwide is welcome to be there anytime when it's perfectly right. 100% satisfaction guarantee. Welcome to Community Program, this is the host, you're here for the details as well as everyone else and the rest. Here's the instructions. The Village Brauhaus is the German/European Modern Club Bar where everything is Oktoberfest and the arena is base of the home of Deutschelands. Located in Old Town, King Street, Alexandria. The Ingredients, dishes, and cusines are very popular, they originally represent from Federal Republic of Germany and European Federal Commission Related Features with Federal Republic of Austria comes along base on it's history. Really?, Yes. They often serve food that is officially Central European Style that has been very famous and popular for many generations which is fantastic. As a guest I remember I once been there that time I was in the urgent request for appointment, I visited there for only 12 seconds and out. Then one month later, I decided to take a mission to be there for explore the difference, I wanted to see what they have going on there, what the have, and what they usually do in the service. (Exclusive Review) I took a visit inside of the Modern Mansion I was impress on their professional efforts the bar is great than I mate one dude who is an assistant for the Deutch Karaoke Club where they play Pop, Dance, Funk music also some throwbacks we mingle, he gave me details about the musical dance performance on stage that comes in weekdays I appreciate him for that. I told him about best musical Artists from Germany that are popular such as, Real Mccoy, Captain Hollywood, Culture Beat, Snap. GREATEST 1990s artists. Then I visit their Deutch Karaoke Club. It's great with many individuals have fun like how it is in Berlin, Germany and Frankfurt. That's awesome. Their food it marvelous with the waitresses are fabulous. When you, he, she, they (group of people) meet the waitress, they'll see them in traditional custume that represent the culture of it's heritage. In the bar section, folks have green outfits that come with the symbol of the restaurant. When they have their uniform on, (Green Polo Shirts) they're the associates of the modern bar. Are they ? Yeah, that's them. This Guide takes everyone including you here, plus the rest of the audience. If you're looking for Germany's decent Hospitality, this is it. You've found the right spot for it. That goes to the rest of you. Rather if you're single person, solo, partners, couples, bands, individual, participant, customer, Adventurer, Associate, Business person, Company owner, Citizen, Contender, Entertainers, Foreigner, Guest, Special Guest, Family, Friends, Group of people, Journalist, Musicians, Artists, Guest Stars, Proformers, Professionals, Random, Students, Activity Group, Tour Group, Travelers, Volunteers, Wounderer, Temporary, or Other. No matter who you are, where you from, what purpose you have, or event, whichever they are how they are everyone is in for the Golden token of invitation. they can bring their reality into a fun way of celebrating performance. The Modern Village Deutscheland Celebration Bar is for everyone to enjoy the greatest insperation they can ever achieve. Indeed. Prove this, Admit it, and there'll be a confident, decent, and connected profession in the journey of commission. Kingdom of...

TLDR: Food is about as far from authentically German as you can get -- and even if taken just at face value, without the descriptor of "German," unfortunately just not very good. Front of house needs more training on basic server etiquette (e.g. prebussing tables, timing apps before entrees, checking in after dropping food/general attentiveness to guests).

THE DEETS: Firstly, their menu is what I would call erratic. For a restaurant that explicitly claims to be a German Bier Garden, they have more items like fried rice and empanadas than authentic german dishes. If you're going for multicultural or fusion, then say that! Cool! But don't put "prost" in giant letters on the wall and then put out a menu that, of all its items, its German dishes are the most limited in number. That's just poor marketing -- not to mention misleading to guests. And to that end: google is your friend. It's not that hard to do a little research, and to make sure that the very few German dishes that you actually do manage to offer are actually authentic! Especially for those prices!! This disconnect is really made all the more obvious and, quite frankly, a little bizarre, by the fact that the previous German restaurant at this location already had (slightly mediocre, but still decently) authentic dishes.

With regards to the food that I ordered, specifically: The mac and cheese was (cold) and bland ~ and even though, after asking and being told that it was made with spaetzle, was just normal macaroni noodles. Lame. (So, what do they offer as a main starch? Polenta. Lol okayyy) The "paprika chicken" (I believe they mean chicken paprikash?) was just chewy grilled chicken in a thin, vaguely red colored sauce. It was basically barbeque. The potato salad was certainly not traditional, and tasted overpoweringly of mustard (it was basically a mustard sauce, and while Germans love mustard... not like that, man). The red cabbage was mushy and bland. Just. Not good.

Literally nothing was tasty except the beers ~ and, I will say, at least they served their beers in the proper glassware! It has been ages since I've ordered a Hefeweizen in the States which was served in an actual Weizenglas! So, that was nice. But the only thing that was nice.

The only other traditional dishes which I remember seeing on the menu were a pretzel (ya can't mess that up. I hope.); potato pancakes; Schnitzel (though, again, they seem to be very confused by what a Jäger schnitzel is, based on their various menu descriptions); Suaerbraten and Schweinshaxe, though not sure if I'd trust them, based on this experience; and a variety of sausages -- but, for how expensive they are, you are just as well off going to Aldi, where you will get 100% authentic, imported Wurst for cheap!

All in all a huge disappointment, and a major flop. If I ever go back, I will only be getting drinks. Wirklich...

I'm 0 for 3 with these guys. They just never seem to have their stuff together. Won't be going back. First time I went was shortly after they first opened (pre-pandemic). The service was excruciatingly slow. When the food finally arrived the waitress promptly took it back because she said it was meant for another table, and we waited another 20 or so minutes to be served. I chalked it up to growing pains with a new staff at a new restaurant, though.

Sometime later (also pre-pandemic) I tried to reserve space for a Saturday afternoon for a party of 40 to 50 people. The assistant manager with whom I spoke told me that I had the reservation, but when I called back in the weeks leading up to the event to try to iron out details on a menu, pricing, etc., she was non-committal and told me she'd call me back. After I didn't hear anything for a few days I read the writing on the wall and booked a reservation at O'Connell's just down King Street. Then, the day before the event was supposed to take place, I got a call from the manager saying he wanted to confirm that the party was still on. I explained to him that I'd called several times but never heard back from his assistant manager (or any other staff member) to finalize the plans so I'd booked a reservation elsewhere. I got the impression his staff had told him that everything was taken care of, so he was clearly very surprised and irritated when I told him what had happened.

Finally went back just the other day for happy hour with colleagues. Same old story. Service started out slow and they messed up a couple things with our orders. I ordered a second beer at 7 o'clock. Around 7:15 the waitress passingly said they were having an issue with the taps. I asked for my bill so I could leave after finishing my beer, whenever it might've arrived. Then the staff seemed to just disappear. Finally, around 8 o'clock we had to go inside and track down the staff so the rest of the party could close out. We never got an explanation from the staff, they just seemed to ghost all the patrons. And, unfortunately, I closed out my tab before that second beer ever arrived. I didn't dare waste my time trying to get a refund, though. Disappointing, but consistent with my experience...
