I recently hosted a birthday party for my child at Fun City, and it was an absolutely dreadful experience. We spent over $500, hoping to provide a fun and memorable day for my kids, but instead, we were met with terrible treatment and disregard for our safety. We were racially profiled the moment we arrived. My guest and I were made to feel unwelcome and uncomfortable by the staff, which was incredibly upsetting. It was clear that they treated us differently, and this was not only frustrating but also hurtful. We had hoped for a fun, inclusive environment, but instead, we felt singled out. The line was extremely long as soon as we got there. I, as the birthday boy’s mother arrived early, so I would be able to greet my guest when they arrived on time was told I needed to wait for my party time that they were setting up the tables. Only to find out that apparently I booked a table amongst the tables in the general public with two signs on them that said reserved for my son. $500 to sit where everybody else is sitting is absurd. If that would be the case, why not just pay for each kid individually to have unlimited jump and pick a table to sit at. I did express my frustration with not making it clear that this is what was taking place so the manager moved us to a room. Mind you a room and a table in the general public are the same price. Now that we’re 10 minutes behind schedule, considering my kids only get two flat hours to jump eat pizza and sing happy birthday. They finally gave us the tablecloths to put on the tables. Did not once offer assistance to help put the table cloths on the table after making it clear that that is something that they provide. At this point, I guess have now waited 20 minutes for socks. Our host kept reminding us that his iPad wasn’t working so he could not see the waiver form that all of my guest had filled out to prevent wasting time. Each gas that showed up head at least a 10 minute wait or greater for socks. On top of that, the state of the venue was appalling. The bathrooms were filthy, with overflowing trash cans and unsanitary conditions. The overall cleanliness of the facility was a concern, and there seemed to be no effort from the staff to maintain a safe, clean environment for guests. The mop water that they are mopping the place with smells like it has not been changed in weeks. They allow you to bring your own food, which is another reason why I would suggest not booking a party and just getting a table and doing your own thing. They order the pizzas for the party from Domino’s and they give you two boxes of Capri Suns. The pizzas from Domino’s are $6.99 mind you they charge you $15 a box and two dollars a box for Capri Sun. It’s not stated to you that you can bring your own food but just use this as a future reference. To make matters worse, when we voiced our concerns, the host and other workers were completely uninterested and unconcerned. They showed no urgency in addressing the issues, nor did they offer any apology or solution. It was as though they didn’t care at all about providing a good experience, despite the money we had spent. When I talk to the manager, he seemed as if that’s just the way things are. Once it was time to pay, I paid in cash. Three different people counted the cash as if I was giving them fake money or as if I was trying to short them. The party host did not participate in anything in the room. But he was sure that we needed to clean up 20 minutes early to ensure we were out of the room on time. Mind you there was a party going on next-door that was getting excellent service. The party host was involved. As we walked past, we could see the party host cutting the cake and they were in their party room well past the two hour schedule time. When I brought this to the attention of the manager. He stated it was because there was no party after. The room that we were in was empty an hour after we left still. So technically one hour of my two hour party was spent waiting for socks and...

Ok here we go with my review of Fun City. Buckle up cause it's going to be a roller-coaster. My family and I were next door at the Hibachi joint grabbing some amazing food and when we arrived, the parking lot was packed. Why was it so packed? Oh that's right Fun City adventure park just opened up! So after dinner we do a round trip to Fun City. See what I did there?

I'm going to start with the positives of Fun City. The park has a lot of different activities that can't be found at any other indoor kids activities near by. The high ropes corse, the climbing wall, the 10 and under play area are all banging and tons of fun. The tube slide is awesome too and the trampolines and foam pits are fun and the zip line is dope. We've been to most if not all the kids indoor park in the area and this rivals them all in terms of activities. And they didn't even setup their arcade yet! I found pricing to be standard to those other places as well. The kids had a blast and we (the parents) had fun as well.

Now what's the bad? Well I'd like to preface my review in saying that this was thier first day open and this was a soft opening. When we first arrived the automatic doors weren't working and the only way to enter was to manually pull the sliding doors open. When we entered the best choice of words to describe the atmosphere was chaotic. The place was packed and lines were long. Being opening day could have contributed to this chaos. There is no signage anywhere on where to go or what to do or rules or prices. So it could be said that they were not ready. So I asked a few people who were just as lost as I was and the very first thing to be done is to sign the waivers at the tablet station. Then you get in line to pay and get socks if you don't already have them. They allow you to use any socks that have grips pads on them even if it's from a competitor, so bonus points for them for allowing this!

Once we were paid we went to the cubby area and put away our jacket and shoes. Then my kids went straight to the ropes course and it was very unorganized. They were severely understaffed and could have used at least 4 to 5 more people. Here's a list of things I observed and would recommend to the owners:

-Get the automatic doors fixed -Hire 4 to 5 people to help manage the crowds and provide then with proper training. -You need big clear signage on what people need to do ie: Sign Waviers, Pay Here, Bathrooms, Drinks, Ect. -For the ropes corse you need the retractable belts fence to manage the lines to get the harness on and the same to stand in line to get on the course -Hire a cleaning team. Bathrooms were unattended and unsanitary. Garbage all over the cubby area. Garbage and diapers all over the floors. -You need more garbage cans placed in high traffic areas. -You need a water fountain. -Locks on the bathroom stalls.

Overall it was fun and we all were safe. I'm gonna give Fun City a month to get thier stuff together and we'll give it another try. Hopefully they can make changes...

My daughters birthday was this past Saturday the 24th, she wanted a place to hang out with friends, attempted to contact this place via phone and email, left voice messages with no response to set up a birthday party, no response. So instead of a party, we would still go and just have her friends meet us there and I would still pay for them. We go and I was immediately put off and ready to go, the entry door was not working and it was overly packed. I immediately noticed the arcade area had none of the games on. People were sitting on one of the car games at the front, it’s on wheels and kept moving and getting in the way. There are only 12 small sized picnic tables for seating. It took entirely too long to complete the waiver process and you have to complete that before being able to purchase tickets. I paid for 12 children, this totaled almost $400, not including the overpriced drinks. I initially thought that it would have a concession area so we can order food, but no. There was no snacks to order and no food, appears they order pizza from restaurants for the birthday parties. Now remember my daughter met with her friends, I paid for their entry and socks, these friends bought her birthday gifts. She was not expecting it, which made it very special. So we sat her gifts with us at a table we lucked up at, there was someone else sitting there as well. I only had cupcakes for her friends, as there is no specification on outside food you can/can’t bring. After an hour or so of playing they ate maybe 2-3 cupcakes and sang happy birthday to my daughter, when one of the employees came up and said you’re not allowed to have birthday parties here, which I responded it’s not a party. She then stated well you have cupcakes and presents, there were three small bags. I then asked is outside food not allowed because I saw pizza. Which she responded well they had a party here, but said you can have outside food, just not cupcakes, that makes no sense and I paid more than what a party cost for their entry so I should be able to bring in cupcakes if I want to. Then 10 minutes later she came back and said you have to remove the gifts and the cupcakes, I really had to bite my tongue! It was not worth the price, understaffed and some attractions not open and with caution tape. The bathrooms are waaaaayyyy too far away. And ppl were not watching their children. I don’t think I will...

The place itself is really good. Lots of activities for kids of all ages to do. However, today, February 17 2024 was their opening day and they were not fully ready for opening. I went at 2:00 pm and it was packed. The main door was not working you have to manually open and close it. This door is closed to the line for Check in so it was freezing. I saw little kids shivering although they were still wearing their coats, hats and gloves. There are some tablets to sign the waiver. However there is no sign about their location and you can easily miss them. I was able to spot them and signed it while my husband waited 15 minutes in line for Check in. I saw people being turned around after making the line for not having to sign the waiver. SIGN THE WAIVER AND BUY TICKETS ONLINE to save yourself lots of time. I noticed they were very understaffed for the amount of people there. I noticed a little toddler in the climbing wall screaming "help, help" the music was a bit loud and lots of people were talking, kids laughing/ screaming so nobody could hear this boy hanging in there. I heard him as I walked by and immediately called for help. The blond woman who was in charge there was also in charge of the harness for the other climbing area. I suggest hiring at least 2 more people for that spot only. In the slide area there was only 1 woman working on the sled but nobody was at the other side of the red slide. Also at the main desk socks are still not on the proper displays, refrigerators were not stocked. Prices were not displayed for drinks or the play area itself so I saw chaos. I understand it was the opening day but I think they could have finished doing that first so everyone would have been smoother today. I will come back here because I consider this indoor playground the best in the suburbs. I just suggest the owner can finish the details and have everything running smoothly. Good luck!

Went on opening day. The place was filthy. Floors, railings and everything inside covered in excessive construction dust. Floors were "mopped" with dirty water only leaving filth on the floor and not cleaning the floors. RTU/HVAC units not cleaned and heavy dust hanging off of the returns on the RTUs. Lack of available employees, many of the advertised activities were not available, lack of harnesses for 5 year old children. Slide requiring innertubes is not effective as parents need to carry the tubes to the top of the slide, and the placement of the landing pad makes removal of the innertubes nearly impossible... no staff available to assist. Excessive costs for 2 hours of playtime , no monthly membership available. The front doors didn't work (automatic doors broken, you needed to manually pull the doors open to enter, and close them behind you, no staff near the doors or signs on the doors indicating the failure. They were clearly not ready to open when they did. The city was right to close this place down. Hoping they get their act togeher and open up for monthly memberships. The place has a lot of potential, but has significant failures in management and cleanliness. A child threw up in the ballpit and a staff member (after 20 minutes) haphazardly wiped the affected area down with clorox wipes. Other children passed through the vomit due to the lack of employees' sensitivity to cleaning up the vomit in an efficient timeframe. This place has a lot of potential. Owners, get it together, keep the place clean, follow the laws and statutes governing your business, make sure your customers are heard, be ready to open, or iron our your failures before exposing them to the public.
