The moment I walked into this restaurant, I knew I was going to love it here! I have heard about it thru other people's reviews. I had to pop in. The staff looked very professional, presentable, and happily eager to serve us, and they were very courteous, and friendly as well. My partner and I ordered the grilled steak burritos, a soda, and horchata at the front counter. We got to our table. One of the employees brought over complimentary chips and salsa, and hot salsas for our burritos. I really liked the ambience of the dining area, it's a huge place and perfect to bring family and friends for a great time and even on weekends this place would be a hit! As I ate my burrito, I noticed a big difference in food quality, the steak was of high quality than what you would have at other regular Mexican restaurants, they had their own unique seasoning that I very much enjoyed on this steak. I loved the char taste it gave to it. The toppings were just as fresh and delicious, you can tell right away how much better quality the food is here. I'd also like to note that this burrito was huge! The employee checked on us a couple times as well, which was nice. We felt taken care of here. This was well worth the price! The horchata was sweet and delicious with flavor. My partners soda was sweet and perfectly carbonated, not often do we get perfect soda like this due to lack of carbonation and syrup at so many other places! The chips were warm and crunchy, and the salsa was unique in flavor with a hint of tomato, and I enjoyed it as well. I was satisfied with everything and they got our order correct. Overall I would give this place 5/5. They deserve so much more recognition and business, they are unique and one of a kind in Algonquin. A hidden gem....

bad experience in this restaurant I ordered a quesadilla for my child which comes with guacamole pico de gallo and lettuce with sour cream I asked for the quesdilla to be served without the guacamole the pico de gallo lettuce and instead only rice and beans the person who served me she answered and said I couldn't do that, I could make it diner for an extra cost of 3.99. I explained to him that my child wouldn't eat the rest that he preferred just rice and beans which would cost me 3.99 more which is fine but I realized. Paying 32 dollars for two tortillas with cheese is excessive due to the size of the quesadilla, but here comes the most interesting thing. When I check my bill, I realize that to change the flour tortilla for a corn tortilla, they charge you 50 cents for each taco. That's ridiculous. How they rob you in that, how they sell tacos without tortilla ? So they charge 50 cents each taco if u chose corn tortilla ? I really did not enjoy this place. It felt so unfriendly? Not the fault of the workers, just how big the room was and how boring and unpersonal everything felt. Both me (chicken) and my brother's (beef) burritos were just...bad. Expensive for what they were and we just did not enjoy ours. It didn't taste like there was a lot of seasoning in my chicken, I didn't love the chicken not being shredded and just every part of it was boring. That was really the problem I think, everything was boring and unimpressing. The music they were playing over the speakers was so unappealing and we were slowly being driven insane by it. The workers were (oh so very faintly) playing music far in the back and I really wish the restaurant would just let the workers play the music they want to because it was SO MUCH better than what was over the speakers. Also, workers look so much more comfortable and relaxed when they're not forced to listen to godawful music their whole shift, so even if their music WAS horrible, I'd still prefer it to the music the restaurant was playing.
