The lack of humanity makes you feel pressured and uneasy when you visit, as the people running this place will perceive you as someone with ill intentions. I always smiled at the employees whenever I reached the security door and waited to be buzzed in, but all I could see were their contemptuous looks. They love to speak to you with condescending tones, and they don't like dealing with colored customers unless there are other white customers around, so they have to act nice to keep up with their "professionalism."

Furthermore, don't fall for their sweet talk. Their act of hospitality is all a facade. After you finish the transactions with them, they will tell you how much they appreciate your business and want you to come back. However, on the contrary, they are careless and will act like they are unfamiliar with you whatsoever whenever you revisit their shop.

Beggars can't be choosers. This shop is not a great place to conduct business when you desperately need cash for a rainy day or as a novice trader. If you ever show any signs of weakness, they will lowball or straight lie to you to take advantage of you. They are aggressive and ruthless on pricing, and they would only pay you the cost of the metal content of the coins, even if they were graded. You can expect a shift in their attitude, becoming impatient and unfriendly, if you plan to engage in haggling.

In summary, I don't recommend this shop unless you really need cash and are willing to accept...

I went to this place to sell some of my necklaces and rings. an old man, who must be over 70 years old, took my things and checked them one by one. then he took two necklaces and four rings went to price machine, and then he said that the items were worth 130 dollars in total. I didn't want to sell them. He only gave me my two necklaces back. I asked him to give me back my rings, and he said what rings, I only took your two necklaces. I was shocked. With so many cameras, he blatantly said that he didn't take my 4 rings. At this time, a young gentleman in the store pointed to my rings on the old man's table and said, here are some rings. The old man said, those are from our store. The righteous young gentleman said, these are not our things. Then the old man said, OK, give them back to her. I was very shocked and angry. I’ve been doing business with Alhambra Coin Center for over a decade now and can say with utmost confidence they are one of the most respected and well established coin shops in California, and I believe to be the most reputable in all of Southern California. I’ve been on both sides of the counter at the shop and have enjoyed my experience with them as both a customer and intern. There are plenty of knowledgeable and experienced staff members at the shop. A.C.C. also has a sister company, Luxury 24-7, which offers a wide selection of designer handbags and luxury accessories. It is in the same location as A.C.C. and is led by a wonderful team, consisting of Shelley, Rita, and Natalie.
