Dog Haus Biergarten — Restaurant in Alhambra

DOG HAUS!! I think pronounced "Dog House" just like the old radio skits from the 90s. If you are from the bay area it was Wild 107 and Wild 94.9. Basically they had prank calls and skits (some people claim the show Jackass copied them).

Who doesn't love a great hot dog joint? I find that it's hard to please hot dog eaters. We are a different kind of foodie than the normal burger lover. I love both, but I would take a good chill dog over a burger any day.

The menu will blow your mind. How do you decide what to order? I recommend bring a friend or 2 along to share and split items. The B.L.A.S.T.! Let's just hope this is talking about the in and not the out. I want an explosion in my mouth (that's what she said) and not an explosion somewhere else. This is like eating a BLT verision of a hot dog with chills on hawaiin bread. Everything that's sounds wrong but all together it works. If loving you is wrong, I don't want to be right. -Chili Tots. The tater tots verision of chilli fries. Crazy right? But it works! -You will feel like a pig afterwards but it's worth it! You only live once so make it count. -This is a true grubbing spot that should be on Man vs Food.

I highly recommend this place! If you are unsure about trying Dog Haus, just do it. It seems wrong to eat a hot dog when there is so many good asian food restaurants in the area, but if you live in Alhambra and you need a break try Dog Haus. Make sure you come very hungry and get ready to throw your diet...

Food was 5 Stars like always. However, the service was the worst. The entire establishment was almost empty. My husband and I go to the front to put in our order. We were literally rushed the entire time ordering we couldn’t even process a thought when the cashier kept asking if that was it. She was extremely unfriendly and even seemed upset because we were there having an attitude the ENTIRE TIME! I think she was in charge for the shift she kept telling another employee to fill things and clean put ice in the soda machine that other employee was honestly what saved this experience. She noticed I ran out of ketchup and quickly stepped in and gave me a new bottle. She was friendly and attentive! The other cashier the one who’s in charge and helped us was just on her phone in front of the register, then moved to the bar to talk on the phone, went outside everything but do her job. She was definitely not on break. The soda machine didn’t have ANY SODA!!!! Just lemonade. If it weren’t for the other girl this place would be left alone literally. We are from out of state and come here EVERY SINGLE TIME we are in California. This experience was sad. I don’t know why these type of establishments hire such lazy and non customer friendly employees. I’ve never had this type of treatment couldn’t even enjoy a drink, my ice cold coke, because the machine was out. We spent almost $100 for this type of treatment ??? No thank you! We visited on Sunday 8/6/2023 @ 2:10pm she didn’t even give us the receipt I’m sure her name...

I've been here 3-4 times in the past year or so since they have a lot of other chains. The other times, I typically had a good experience, but this day was a little odd. There weren't a lot of customers at the time, but the food took about 25-30 minutes to be served, which was weird because there were only 3 other parties besides us, and 2 of those parties already had their food served. We were wondering if something happened in the kitchen, but the kitchen seemed to be going normally, so I don't really know what happened. I ordered the Soooooo Cali and my boyfriend got a The Hangover burger. My Sooo Cali tasted good, but I noticed that the bread wasn't toasty..it was cold. My boyfriend's burger was also cold and the chili seemed like it was used as a spread...so we weren't really happy about that. Not sure if the kitchen team was having a bad day, but overall, they kind of killed it for us. The restaurant was clean, as always, and I remember them having different types of sauces on the tables, but they didn't anymore.
