My friend and I went shopping at ROSS on September 29, 2020. We queued up for checkout as required. We are standing directly opposite the cashier. However, the receiving woman kept beckoning to the other team to check out, completely ignoring me and my friend. My friend and I had to switch to another male cashier to re-queue, but the male cashier actually asked us to go to someone else to check out. The two white cashiers looked up and exchanged glances at the same time. Their disdainful look at me and my friend made us very angry. We put down the items and did not buy them. In fact, I have encountered this arrogant and rude attitude more than once in this store. Just last year when I was trying on a pair of trousers here, a strip of red blood was pierced by the exposed iron nails. I found the manager and explained that it was because the store was anti-theft. The nails caused bleeding in the leg. The manager only asked me to fill out a form for me to wait for the telephone investigation, and did not provide me with any measures to deal with the wound, and reluctantly took out a band-aid at my repeated request. More than a year has passed and I haven't received any calls asking me about this matter. I have been to dozens of ROSS in different states for a long time, and this is the only shop that repeatedly makes me feel unpleasant. Of course my friends and I will never come again. Fortunately, there is only one store, not more, that prevents ROSS from losing its reputation...
Read moreI think this Ross is the biggest one I have been in. It's got two floors. There is an elevator but it's hidden in the back left corner and it's kind of older and slower. I don't know if it was the time of year that I visited or not but the shelves seemed fairly bare in this location. Everything was in its own department generically speaking but things were never really lined up with price tags or really organized in general. Oftentimes you would only find one item and no other duplicates to choose from. Be careful when selecting things because especially the house goods had dents or scratches or pieces missing. For his largest place was I really can't say that there was wide selection of things. It had kind of a garage sales sort of feel to it. The lines were very long at checkout. Our cashier was very nice though and fast. They take all forms of payment that are commonly used everywhere. They have parking on the street in front of the building. Inside they also had carts as well as small rolling carts but they were not well taken care of and the wheels often...
Read moreSo, I was meeting friends for lunch in the area, when I decided to hop over a low brick wall separating two parking areas and promptly ripped the crotch of my jeans open. No amount of strategic standing could hide the fact that I had ripped my pants. According to my friends, it was really obvious. We still had a wait to get a table, so I decided to drive to this Ross to get a replacement. Street parking was pretty easy. The men's clothing section was downstairs. I picked a pair of shorts and prayed that they would fit. The checkout wait was very long and the cashiers and/or customers were really slow. Luckily I was able to hide my torn pants with the shorts. I paid, got back to my car, and changed in the cramped back seat. The shorts fit, but they cost me about $30!!
Pros: Easy parking, large selection, correct sizing. Cons: Long wait times, prices seem a little higher than...
