Top Hair Studio — Attraction in Alhambra

Let me just start this review off by saying do not go to Top Hair Studio unless you want your hair to be the opposite of what your asked for. It was a normal day, but today i was going in for a haircut at Top Hair Studio. I got there and this man named Kevin helped me. I asked for a trim because my hair is long and I want it to grow longer and that’s what a trim helps with. Guess what my friend Kevin did to my hair? He cut 5 inches off of it and if you call that a trim your weird. Not to mention he dyed my hair dark brown and it looks jet black. The way I feel towards Kevin is nothing but anger and dissatisfaction. I could not stop crying because of how much I didn’t like my hair. This man made my happy day into a sorrowful day. I cannot stress how mad I am at Kevin and at Top Hair Studio. I cried myself to sleep that night and I am still crying as I am writing this review. AVOID THIS PLACE!!! They make up excuses to charge you extra money than what they said on the advertisement. Their manager charged me for $25 after I had my hair cut instead of $20 as what they advertised. This woman insisted that my 2-3 inch length hair was "Medium-length". She also said as long as my hair is not as short as a guy's , i.e., 1 inch or less, then it is medium length and they will charge more money. Surprise, right? She did not tell me this before my hair was cut, nor did she wrote this on their advertisement that they will charge girl's hair more money if it is more than 1 inch long. I wish I had called the POLICE, but it is very difficult to keep evidence since it is cash-only. Just avoid this place, since they will make up excuses and charge you for extra money after you had your hair cut. Today it is me, and you could be the next. They went straight to wash my hair without telling me the price difference. Since my hair is very short and the time they spent to cut my hair was less than 20mins, I thought I would be charged as men's cut (that's what happened at other places and my understanding of the price difference is that the longer hair needs more patience, time, and products used). The hairdresser was very rude and said "are you a man then?" I paid a higher rate and then he said "that's the price for haircut and you didn't give tips". I would never go that place again....
