We visited this place in January 14, 2024 and we very upset because they refused to provide me the support aid. I explained them that I had injured my leg on the ice couple years ago and I am afraid to ice skating without support. I was ready to pay for it but the manager Sophia said no because their policy doesn’t allow them to provide the support aid if you are above 5 year old. There is one exemption if you will buy Birthday package, they will give you the support aid despite age!😉😁 I asked manager Sophia to show me Birthday package policy but she refused it .She explained it is private information! 😳 I asked her to call the director of this place and she said he isn’t here. We visited this place last 2-3 years and didn’t have any problems with it. We were very disappointed and upset that moment. My family did not understand why they provide support aid for those who pay more for Birthday Party but for others aren’t if you are above 5 years. They don't care about other visitors who have started ice skating for the first time or have a fear of ice skating but want to overcome it. We aren’t going to visit this...

There is an area to do off-ice.
There are a lot of bleachers, benches, and locker (changing) rooms.
Their LTS program is a bit messy but it’s the same at Lake Forest Ice Palace so you’re better off just getting a coach and purchasing punch cards for skating sessions.
They’ll always Zamboni for hockey players but not always for figure skaters.
The gentleman that’s in charge of the office during most mornings can be grumpy but he is actually friendly once you get to know him. Don’t be discouraged if he is a bit mean at first!
Some of the coaches have an attitude (they gave me a rude answer and a scowl when I asked how one of the side boards opens) but most are very nice. If you need a coach I really recommend Coach Claudine or Coach Karen. They’re amazing!
Overall it’s...
Read moreMy daughters have attended the AV Ice skating school for a couple of years, and really enjoyed their experience. The instructors - for the most part- seemed to be paired appropriately with the age bracket that they’re assigned to. (e.g. 5-6 year olds paired with sweet, more patient instructors etc) There were some occasions where the pairing wasn’t what we would prefer- but those instances didn’t last.
The only con that I can contribute is that they require auto-payments. I realize that method has become fairly standard within after school programs, but there were months where multiple dates would be cancelled due to ice restoration or repair. Since my kiddo was taking 2 classes a week, these repairs altered when she can attend and no other appropriate makeup classes would be available. (She was at a specific level and was already taking the only classes...
