Love this place! Cute, comfortable, delicious and fresh!
What I ordered (to-go) and what I thought:
*Lavender Americano iced, regular size 10/10 for me personally Coffee can be very subjective and it really depends if you are a sweet drink kinda person, a coffee connoisseur, or somewhere in between. While I appreciate a sweet drink done well, I prefer strong espresso flavors with a creamy texture and like my drinks dairy free. So the Lavender Americano was PERFECT for me! Great espresso flavor with hints of lavender tea; not a sweet drink, but a subtle sweetness that reminds me of dark chocolate.
*Avocado toast 9.5/10 Big soft toast, perfectly hard boiled egg. Fresh avocado with natural flavor; it didn't taste like it was mixed with Greek yogurt or something to cut down on the avocado used. It tasted like full avocado with a little salt/pepper/garlic seasoning sprinkled on top. Delicious little tomatoes and spring mix on top. Held together nicely and wasn't falling apart when I was eating it. The only thing that would make this better for me would be a drizzle of olive oil.
*PB and fruit sando 8/10 Balancing my husband's critique with my opinion here. I loved the fresh fruit, so refreshing compared to a jam or jelly. I will definitely use this idea at home now. The bread was nicely toasted, not so much that it scraps the roof of your mouth, and not too little that it gets soggy, just Goldilocks right. I appreciate that the peanut butter was creamy rather than crunchy. My husband's critique has more to do with the presentation, although he acknowledged this may be different when eating at the cafe rather than taking it to-go. He felt like something was missing, it needed something else to be extra special. Overall, I think this is a crowd pleaser and my husband and I both agree we would order it again.
Now let's talk about prices... I know there will be many out there who claim the prices here are too high, but I think they are in line with what we are all seeing at the grocery stores and everywhere else. If the ingredients aren't cheap, don't expect the gourmet prepared dishes to be inexpensive. Drink prices are in line with corporate coffee places and food prices make sense for the fresh ingredients.
The atmosphere is cute and comfortable! The man that helped me was prompt and friendly. Sorry I didn't take pictures! I will return next time I'm...
Ā Ā Ā Read more2/28/23 update: tl;dr: Their crepes are awful, service is rough, drinks are okay. Not coming back.
I tried their banana crepe and it was clear the lady had never made a crepe before. The manager (?) came out and explained the crepes before I ordered and said "You'll love the taste!" Sir, please teach your staff how to make crepes before putting them on the menu, and maybe taste the creations before selling them. The crepe was rubbery and she went crazy with the chocolate sauce and Nutella, it looked like chocolate soup. It was not folded and looked messy. I couldn't finish and definitely feel ripped off. She looked ashamed when she brought it out, didn't announce what it was, avoided eye contact, quickly turned away as I walked up and didn't say thank you as we left. Also, I did not customize the order, the replier confused me with someone else. For the drinks, they didn't label anything and served my cold drink as a hot drink. Same crepe person did not ask whether I wanted hot or cold, I didn't even realize hot was an option as the picture on the menu is over ice.
2022 Original review: I love the drinks but I've gotten food poisoning a few times now. I'm lactose intolerant so I normally order oat milk. I've been to Milk & Honey maybe a dozen times and three times I've had food poisoning, the last time my husband who ordered his drink with whole milk also got food poisoning. I think they are leaving their milk out, or maybe aren't paying attention to the "use by" dates. I'm giving this place a 3 stars because when it doesn't make me sick, the drinks are delicious and the service is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe first time I went to this establishment, I believe the gentleman who assisted me was the owner. He was extremely pleasant and the drinks were great. I went there today and ordered 3 drinks, Thai iced tea with boba, plain green tea with boba and pineapple green tea with aloe and lychee jelly. I mentioned to the young lady that the pineapple green tea was rather sweet last time I got it and I would like far less sweetness. She seemed confused as she made the tea. She made a mistake and threw away whatever she had made. Instead of using a new cup, she rinsed the cup she was using. She then proceeded to pull a ladle out of the same sink to scoop whatever syrup, etc she was adding to my tea. I was the only person in the store and by the time I got my drinks my friends were done with their food!!!
My pineapple green tea was so sweet that it was impossible to drink. My friendās Thai iced tea tasted nothing like Thai iced tea. The green tea with boba was fine. Having paid over $20 for three teas - yes, I was dumb enough to tip 15% - and throwing two away before even leaving the parking lot was quite annoying. The young lady was pleasant enough but has no...
