Metropolitan Furniture — Attraction in Allen Park

We shopped around and thought this was a great place at first , we were approved for financing then we shopped for a nice bed in our range, i then put down the deposit and was happy, then after 5 weeks we get a call back that the credit card on file didn't go through because it was a Wells Fargo bank, well first off if we were a approved and the card went through the first time what happened, second when they called to tell us they don't except wells Fargo card as a reliable bank( none of my cards are linked to a wells fargo bank) never once said we were denied or anything and just said we needed to bring a different card, then after 12 weeks finally got a call it was ready and we get up there and are told we are to pay up front, told us the financing paperwork was shredded because they dont like to keep tha stuff around(if someone is ordering furniture and you place the order and everything and its now at your place of business why would you shred it)? So we left there and went to a better furniture place, was approved by one of their multiple lenders(metropolitan has one) and our bed we ordered 10/31 will be here 11/3 full set, so i would steer clear from them because it seems all they want is money, pretty sure when i first went there the male owner tried to sell me his used head board for 300 and told me i could find a mattress somehwhere else, just sad, no need to reply owner, your words won't affect me, as I seen with the other 1 star you try to banter the people for giving their opinion...

Metropolitan furniture has been in business for 98 years according to a conversation with the owner. His grandfather started selling furniture from his truck. Recently they’ve updated the store in Allen Park. If you haven’t been in 2019, stop by. Their displays have been updated. They continue to carry high quality products like FlexSteel and have expanded into Amish tables, chairs and bedroom sets. There’s a lot you can easily special order, like a certain size of table or shape. They can alter a many aspects with this handmade line. A picture below shows many of the colors and wood grains available. If you don’t find what you’re looking for ask to see the catalog or talk to one of the salespeople. MF is not a high pressure furniture place where people follow you around, however, they are always nearby to answer questions. Great...

The sales personnel were very honest, helpful and nice to work with. They gave us a very good price on our Flexsteel couch, loveseat and matching chair. The order came in when promised. We traveled over an hour to Allen Park to purchase these items as no one else in the area even had this model on their floor. The set I bought is extremely comfortable and fits beautifully in my living room. The delivery people were professional as well, put the furniture where it needed to be placed and handled the furniture with great care. I would not hesitate to purchase from them...
