This is a real bummer for me to write, but the experience was so strange, I have to. We've lived in AP for 5 years and had never been here. I've never heard great things, but figured we owed a local business a try. We went in on a Friday night, it was relatively slow and we sat at the bar. I noticed they had a Touch Tunes jukebox, so I opened my phone and played a song (the app uses credits that you have to pay for). After about 15 minutes and the song never playing, I realize that the music was being controlled from a tablet by the man to my left. All fine, but maybe turn the jukebox off so people are not losing money attempting to play songs. So I was initially annoyed.
The beer/drinks were fine, but the food was expensive and subpar. We ordered salads (a mistake), they were $14-$15 each and closer to the size of a side salad. To end the experience, I noticed (unfortunately after my card was swiped) that I had been charged for 3 beers instead of the 2 that I'd drank. When I pointed it out to the bartender, she challenged me and said she could have sworn I'd had three. I stood my ground because I am not a big drinker, and I know how many I ordered. She offered to rerun the bill. After a few minutes, the man running the tablet, I'm assuming the owner, joins her to help with the bill issue. Literally 15 minutes went by of them trying to figure this out, while we sat there waiting to leave. It was finally reran, and not so much as an apology or "sorry for the inconvenience" from the owner. I was annoyed. I have been a waitress, I would never accuse a customer of lying about a bill. Unfortunately it seems like the negative reviews are accurate, and the owner doesn't care. We...
Read moreThe atmosphere was good, the waitress good and the dinner salads were fantastic! But the dinner was horrible and the manager awful! The guys ordered fish and fries and the ladies both ordered steaks. We ate our salads and asked for the breadsticks twice. Finally the waitress told us they were out of them?? So we asked for a replacement. Five minutes later she said I am so embarrassed but my manager told me to give you these... 2 packages of oyster crackers!!! She brought out the guys fish and 10 minutes later they served us our steaks which were raw. The baked potatoes were never even heated and cold so we sent back. Ten minutes later (the guys were already done with there dinners) she brought our steaks back out. The end I cut was cooked well but after two bites it was still bloody and I could not eat it so we called the manager over. She immediately came with an attitude and was poking her finger in each of our faces saying you ate yours, you ate yours, you didn’t eat yours and you ate yours! I was appalled by her attitude. We asked her about the bread sticks and she said they were out and will be in next week. What?! We said you should have come out and explained that instead of sending oyster crackers out! We said I guess we will have to put this on FB and she said go ahead that won’t shut us down! Then said okay I take responsibility I’ll take her dinner (mine) off the bill, but pointing her finger at me again, said I need to learn how to order a steak! The manager ruined our whole experience there and we will...
Read moreWell, where do I even start? I ordered an alcoholic drink with pineapple juice in it, and the juice was sour. I had to get it replaced by something else. My husband couldn't have the beer he wanted because they were sold out. In hindsight, we should have left THEN. We ordered fried mushrooms as an appetizer that was supposed to be beer battered. They weren't. My husband ordered a chicken sandwich, I ordered a reuben, and my son ordered a burger. The menu offers pickles on the side upon request, so I asked for them with my reuben. I put one in my mouth and immediately spit it back out. Not only was the pineapple juice bad, but the pickles were bad, too!!! As if this wasn't bad enough, the fries were burnt as well. I expressed to the waitress my disappointment and requested the bill. I looked at the bill, and I was charged for 2 cokes due to my son having a refill on his pop as well as 2 alcoholic drinks even though the first one was bad. She removed the second alcoholic drink from my bill, and I asked why I was charged for 2 cokes. She said they didn't have refills on the non alcoholic beverages. I paid the bill, handed the waitress a 20, and left. Needless to say, we will NEVER be back to this place. I can only imagine what their walk-in cooler looks like if they couldn't even serve fresh pickles. I should have followed my first mind and went to Wheat and Rye. They never disappoint. ...
