EDIT 08/21/19: As stated in the response, the owner did stand by his word and corrected their error. I will gladly stand by a small business owner who strives for (reasonable) customer satisfaction. The only thing keeping me from giving a 5 star review is cost, but that's partially on me for gluten free.
ORIGINAL POST:
The pizza here is pretty good, and I love that they offer gluten free and dairy free options.
Up until the last time I went, I've always had a good experience with Major Tomato. I ordered a pizza with no cheese (don't judge, I'm lactose intolerant and still get the itch for pizza) and when I picked up my pizza, it had cheese on it. Understandable, as most people if not 99% actually want cheese on their pizza. What's upsetting to me is when I waited for them to remake my pizza, they said someone new had just started and my next pizza would be half off for the inconvenience. Happy customer...they made the situation right.
Until they didn't. I called (two weeks later) to order a pizza, knowing I had the discount under my phone number, as the staff member had stated. When I called in and ordered, I asked if there was a discount under my name, and the staff member (different staff member) said there was nothing. At this point, I had already ordered my pizza and figured I'd get it regardless but l'd ask again upon paying. Again, I was told there was no discount.
I'd like to mention that it's not that im not willing to pay full price for their pizza (I obviously did), but it's that they didn't stand by their word, and that's...
Read moreI first tried this pizza a few weeks ago after hearing about it and it’s great pizza. The sauce is savory, but also a bit sweet. The crust has a more multigrain taste to it, but it’s not overly crunchy. It’s not doughy at all, but it does have some softness to it. It’s a nice balance. The pizza is a thinner pizza a good test for good pizza is if you pick up a slice and turn it upside down if the cheese and toppings don’t fall off that’s good and it does not hear overall well balanced ingredients and taste. I’ll eat a slice or two before I even get back to work It taste so good and it’s handheld friendly pizza
The sauce is thicker and I always prefer that for pizza. They don’t over stuff it with cheese they put more toppings than other places I’ve seen on the pizza. The pepperoni is excellent.
The cheese bread is really good. I recommend putting cheddar on it. I think it really enhances it.
The service and the atmosphere are top-notch. The people they have working upfront are friendly and polite. I like to look back at the kitchen staff to see how it’s going and you can tell. It’s all well oiled machine back there. They know what they’re doing.
It’s a small place. There’s a few seats, but there are seats available.
I think this might be the best...
Read morePizza fun? Major tomato has a lot of good things going for it. Strong principles, not a chain pizza place, and unique Pizza combinations. After noticing so many people go in and out of this place and reading the reviews we decided to give it a try. We selected a large one side little mac and the other side vampire slayer, yes you can get a half of one pie and the other half another. The Little Mac is a play on McDonald's Big Mac, it was very unique and tasty. The vampire Slayer had steak, roasted garlic among other things and a balsamic drizzle, it was good not great. Was told it would take 30 minutes, but ended up taking an hour. When we got home our pizza was cold. We warmed it up in the microwave. I debated whether to call, I hate complaining especially with Mom and Pop places. But knowing I was going to review I thought I better give them a chance, and I'm happy I did. I spoke with one of the owners, a very nice person, he told me the Little Mac very popular that evening, that they ran out of ingredients. He was very apologetic and eager to make it right. I highly recommend you give major tomato a try, these people care about the pizzas they produce, they use quality products and try to make junk food healthy. I will give an update after I get my...
