I LOVE Thai food. I have eaten many times in hundreds of Thai restaurants in various countries and I have never been disappointed in any restaurant until I came to this restaurant to eat. I ordered soup and it tasted likechicken bouillon mixed with urine. I left the whole soup on the table. What a disgusting soup! Then my main course came and from the moment the waitress put it in front of me, the smell of urine was excessively strong. I put it to the side and took out each piece of pork and took it out with a napkin, so it wouldn't smell so much of urine. The pork was flavorless. I mean they didn't season it before they cooked it with the vegetables. It didn't have a grain of salt, but since I was hungry I ate it. My partner ordered pineapple fried rice. That was what I ended up eating since the other was too repulsive. The fried rice had good flavor and enough pork but the pork was very dry and tough. My partner told me that the pieces were too long. He is right. They were long but that didn't bother me. The only good thing I can say about this place is that they served enough protein in the food, but unfortunately the meals are almost inedible. I will never return to this place. One hour ago, I finished eating and my mouth still tastes terrible -pee. I'll have to buy some gum before I get home to brush my teeth and use mouthwash. The best thing about the food was the cashews and the water. Waste of money and all the food was left on the table almost uneaten....
Read moreI’m not sure why this place has such a high rating. We chose it due to that, and all three of us were really disappointed. I’ve been to Thailand and regularly go to Thai restaurants, and I cook Thai at home, so I know how it’s made. The pad thai was drowned in sauce and had hardly any vegetables. It looked like they’d boiled the noodles and dumped sauce on top, and it was clear they’d pre-cooked the vegetables and added them after instead of stir frying them together with the sauce and noodles. I had to request they bring additional bean sprouts and green onion, and there wasn’t any dried shrimp. My friends’ dishes, like my pad thai, also were missing vital ingredients, were drowned in sauce, and were too sweet. There’s often palm sugar in Thai food, but this was excessive. Maybe this is just what people who patronize this restaurant enjoy, but it’s certainly no authentic Thai. I can’t recommend coming here if you’re looking for authentic Thai and not the Americanized version.
The waitress also asked I what spice level I wanted for my pad Thai, which is just a weird question since pad Thai isn’t meant to be spicy in the first place. Again, I do not understand the high rating or the comments that praise this as authentic Thai, when it most definitely is not.
On the positive side, the waitress was super nice and apologetic, and reacted really well when we asked her for more vegetables. She did her best, and that was...
Read moreWe use to live near by and would come dine in at least once every one to two weeks. We moved away a while back but was beyond excited to return for dinner as we traveled to the area again today. The food was great as usual, but we were treated very rudely by the cashier lady who checked us out. We had some questions regarding the receipt and politely consulted the young lady who was at the front desk. We thought we might’ve been charged a 18% gratuity fee because our order was accidentally marked as a phone order (when we frequented this place a while ago, gratuity fees were only charged when there was a party of 6 or more, we were never charged a fee when it was just the two of us, and we’ve always tipped generously), but the lady was very rude, argued with us, and called my boyfriend’s question “stupid” and said to him “what’s wrong with you”. I also work customer service so I understand how things can be after a long day, but saying things like this to a customer is never, ever acceptable especially when a customer approaches you with questions and wasn’t even rude or demanding to begin with. This place use to be one of our favorites in the area, but this experience was very disheartening. We will not be returning due to this, and seeing others sharing similar experiences, I hope some more training could be done with staff members as I would hate for this to represent your...
