Giving 3 stars for the kind lady on the phone but the other reviews didn’t mention the old/creepy toys that can freak out kids that are easily scared. We chose this place because it was the only semi local place that offered an escape from for kids. We didn’t even make it 3 steps in before my 6 year old twin girls were literally running for the door and crying to leave. It has a very distinct smell from all the old toys that was unpleasant and the vintage toys seemed like something from a scary movie. With that said, the lady on the phone (when I called to let her know my kids were creeped out) offered to turn around the scary clown picture. She made some other local suggestions which we opted not to do since it was a cat cafe- my husband is allergic- and a troll museum. They were so freaked out by the old toys that we didn’t think they would want to visit a troll museum either. Two hour round trip for us from Youngstown so I was disappointed that this wasn’t what we...
Read moreI booked this escape room as it is a hobby of my girlfriend and mine to try different escape rooms. We have done over 20 escape rooms and this has been our least favorite thus far. When we arrived, we were put in the room with 3 other guests which was odd, but was stated could be a possibility. The host stayed in the room throughout the experience using a rubber chicken to indicate when the group was off track and a Staples "That was Easy" button when the group was on the right track. The room felt poorly laid out as the host had to explain multiple things for the group to progress through the room. Some instructions felt contradictory stating we did not need certain items and then asking why we weren't using them later on. Items were cleaned up as we moved along and then asked where they went.. we dont know! Overal, I would not recommend this escape room as there are many better...
Read moreKind of an odd experience and I probably should’ve read the reviews or the description before buying this package. We did the money laundering one and for my brother, who has never been to an escape room, this was a good introduction to it. He enjoyed it. I didn’t like the commentary from the guide but I guess that’s why this place is called WiseCracks. She was a nice lady, I just like the idea of solving things on my own. I’d recommend this for children/families rather than a group of adults. We still did enjoy it overall and a lot of the comments and hints were funny. It also is old fashion as you might assume since the guide is in the room with you the whole time. Not the type where a tv tells a story, which wasn’t bad.. just a surprise/unexpected when you don’t read up on what you’re getting...
