I don't know where to start... I want this review to go viral so everyone knows how incredibly wonderful this restaurant is. My wife and I went here for the first time, on Friday 6/25/21. We were greeted at the door by a lovely young lady. She immediately took us to our seats. Shortly after that, another server brought us hot towels to clean our hands. They were removed shortly after that. Our server then quickly appeared to take our drink order. We were offered the choice of the drink if the day, which was a mixed berry / Chinese vodka drink. The berries were freshly mashed and mixed into the drink. It was light and refreshing. As we were enjoying our drink, we started to notice the decor. There were beautiful wall hangings that reminded me of Bonsai trees. The wooden grid that was covering the ductwork was stained black providing a great background for some beautiful and delicate white hanging lights. The butcher block style tables were very clean and smooth. The wooden chairs were very comfortable. The cushioned benches and backing were handmade and comfortable. I visited the men's room and was amazed at the cleanliness and impeccable styling and thoughtful details that were included. We ordered appetizers... my wife ordered a scallop dish and I ordered tempura battered shrimp. They were delivered to our table and we were very pleased by the presentation of the dishes. The taste is indescribable. Both dishes were delicious. We ordered our entrees. My wife ordered a soft shell sushi dish and I ordered sea bass. Again, both dishes were beautifully presented and the taste was beyond description, but both were delicious. We ordered a rice wrapped ice cream dessert...again, beautifully presented and delicious. Overall, Lily Sushi Bar is a MUST visit if you are ever in Alpharetta, GA. Thank you to the owners and staff for an unforgettable experience!

Decided to head to Alpharetta for a late Friday night dinner. Sushi sounded good and Lily got great reviews, so off we went! No reservations, which I would recommend, but there were two seats at the bar, yay! We were quickly given a couple really beautiful and classy table settings. The cocktails looked so good and right up our alley, modern and not too sweet. I got the White Cloud..egg whites in drinks always intrigue me. My BF got the Sake Mojito. The bartender was so nice and fun to watch. Our drinks were outstanding! We ordered a couple of apps and a couple of rolls; the baby octopus, tuna tartare, the skinny roll, and the fatty tuna roll (recommended by the bartender). The tuna tartare was a showstopper! So many different flavors on the plate made this simple dish a disco for the senses, visually as well: the thin sliced seaweed on top, the quail egg, a little spicy sauce with sesame oil on the side, and of course the tuna, genius. It was a little difficult to share with chopsticks and we ended asking for a fork. The baby octopus were good, too. The skinny roll was perfect, flavorful and I loved the ponzu sauce with it. The fatty tuna roll was not what I expected. I assumed it would be simple, whole cut fish, but I think it was slightly ground tuna in a light oil or mayo sauce. It was good, but not my usual taste. Overall, a really wonderful experience! The only reason I'm not giving 4 stars is, and I hate that I'm doing this, is because of the prices. I'm not one to be stingy and I'm not looking for a giant plate of food, but it was a little more than I like to pay for what we got. We decided against wine because the markup on the wines by the glass were a little crazy. $25/glass for the Prisoner. Dude. Admittedly, it's probably not going to keep us from going back and I still highly...

Seriously good sushi!!

BY FAR my favorite restaurant in Alpharetta (which is saying a lot considering all the awesome dining options) -- and honestly, I even think it rivals Nobu which from my experience has some of the best sushi on the entire planet. The food and drinks here at Lily are always super delicious -- they source only the finest and top quality ingredients, the atmosphere is cool with sexy and swanky vibes, and the staff is consistently on top of it -- food comes out promptly and you will never have an empty drink!

The owner and her husband have built this place from scratch -- handcrafting the art/furniture/decor and creating truly impressive food and drink menus. It is very evident that they've put their hearts and souls into their restaurant and you can taste the passion in every bite. Food really does taste better when it's made with love!

Please do yourselves a favor and go check out Lily Sushi! Order the yellowtail sashimi, the crispy tuna rice, the avocado balls, shishito peppers and the miso cod (just to name a few of my favorites).. You will NOT be disappointed. You'll also earn yourselves bonus points knowing that you're supporting a small and locally owned family business!

Thanks to Susan and the entire staff at Lily Sushi Bar for being our #1 Date Night Spot and for delivering fresh and delicious meals to us each...
