Green Hills Supermarket — Attraction in Altamonte Springs

My daughter in law and I share a passion for cooking. I especially enjoy preparing international recipes. Exotic ingredients are not easy to source, but now, thanks to Green Hills Supermarket, we're able to purchase many of the items we need for our Eastern European, Turkish, and Indian recipes. They carry a staggering variety of spices, teas, jams, jellies and honeys. As well as a fascinating collection of preseved foods such as roasted eggplant, my favorite, and fish. The frozen food section is a tour de force comprised of specialty desserts, butter, pastry doughs, dumplings and perogies. We spent nearly two hours browsing through their colorful aisles. The only section we felt fell short of their standard was the fresh cheese and cold cuts area. For a European market we expected to see a much richer variety of cheeses. WOW WOW WOW 🤩 Can I just point out how big the store is. You can find absolutely anything your heart desires there. The variety of different stuff is huge. I just walked through the isles and wanted to cry of happiness, everything I remember from my childhood was there. I really like the fact that owner incorporated Spanish isle too. My husband is Hispanic and now I don’t have to go to multiple stores to get seasonings and other goodies. Store is very clean and organised. Staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are great. I would like to point out lady at the deli department who was so nice and helpful to me, with the warmest smile. Also Georgian cashier was extremely pleasant. I am in awe. My favourite place to go with kids. There are so many items that you don’t see in a regular supermarket here. Greenhills always has fresh food, a great variety of dairy products, including Eastern European favourites kefir, farmers cheese, cheeses, and fish products like salted herring, mackerel, frozen meats and seafood. I can always rely on this store with high quality flour and pasta products. If you have not seen a pickling shelve - missing a lot! You can find pickles, pickled tomatoes, mixed veggies, eggplant spread,. What about bread product??
