Before you read this post, keep in mind that I never leave reviews anywhere virtually, but after my horrible experience at Adjectives Altamonte location yesterday, I felt this needed to be shared.
While I was washing my hands yesterday in their main restrooms, the lights completely shut off on me to where I was left alone in the bathroom in absolute pitch black darkness (due to a defective motion sensor light). For a second, I thought that the whole of adjectives had lost power, but I didn’t hear screams from anyone else outside the stall. I was terrified but i knew i had to keep it together. My hands were wet and I couldn’t find my phone to use a flashlight so I fought the urge for tears as I listened for the sound of the rushing water on the sink to feel around and find where I had placed my phone.
Once I found my phone I realized my hands were still wet, I put my phone in between by legs while I quickly dried off my hands with my shirt. (This whole time I’m moving around and flailing my arms in the stall and the motion detection lights were obviously faulty since it was still pitch black around me) Once my hands were dry enough, i slipped while trying to walk toward the stall door. I turned on the flashlight on my phone and that’s how I finally was able to exit the stall. Once I’m almost out of their bathroom completely, is when the lights finally turned back on.
At this point, my feet are in pain and when I finally confronted the store manager, Elizabeth Marsh, about it, she looked at me with a sly smirk as if I was making up the whole situation and gave the fakest “I’m sorry” you could ever hear. She asked belligerently if I had needed them to call an Uber to get medical attention but glared at me until I signed a paper saying that i had no injury. I kept asking what if this pain gets worse later on, to which she said that we need an accurate report on what you’re feeling now, so that if you walk outside and break your arm, we have report that it had nothing to do with this.
The whole experience was so unprofessional and her attitude was atrocious. Her tone, body language and everything suggested that she didn’t care about their having a fault light in the women’s restroom. I’m lucky that It wasn’t worse, but they didn’t even make an effort to correct the problem.
Please if this can help anybody, go to any other Adjectives store but this one. It will kill your experience with the store, like It did mine. I’m never stepping foot in this...
Read moreI wanted to adjectives market for the first time during my last visit to Orlando. I was so captivated by this store, that I actually went back to other times during my same visit. The decor that they have is spectacular, and I didn't know what to buy first. I bought a bunch of items, and then I desperately wanted a painting. I came back the next day and it was had sold just 30 minutes before I got there. I was so upset that I had a delay in getting to the store. Then I met Dale. He tried so hard for me to get that painting, and called the buyer of the store. He kept in contact with me continually throughout the process. Although the painting with could not be purchased again, I will never forget how he did not stop trying. I ended up though making a different purchase of flowers made by Mindy, and want more floral arrangements which he is looking into as we speak! Thanks so much for the excellent customer service and attention to detail. I couldn't be more satisfied with my visits, and so glad I found...
Read moreThe store has amazing decors and a great set up but my only problem is everything is overly priced. Lots of the stuff are antiques and purchased off estate sales for dirty cheap and they try to flip it and sell it for much higher. I also see a lot of diy stuff that you can do your self for much much cheaper. Everything I looked at or was consider getting was way over priced and I often find way better deals at Marshall and home goods. There’s no reason fake plants should cost 7-10 dollar a piece when you can get it at hobby lobby or Joanne’s for 2-3 dollars. Even when they have their giant annual sale nothing really gets marked down to a reasonable price. I see so many people walk around and not buy anything and people laughing at how ridiculous some of the prices are. Inventory is hard to move in there because of how expensive everything is and they would make a lot more profit if everything was...
