Napa Valley Casino — Attraction in American Canyon

Discovered this place - and am fortunate it is close by! If you are east of Petaluma, and north of the Bay, then you don't have the horrible drive along Hwy 37 to get to Graton or Bay 101.

This place has a mini Bad Beat (been there for that!) a Bad Beat (that pot gets sizeable!) and all - ALL levels of players. I would say that the caliber of players here is better than your average Casino mix. You will find your regular sharks who are there daily, and then you have your periodic visitors who want to try their shot at fleecing this crew... In the background, you have you the remainder - the 30-60% composition who make this game what it is - exciting sometimes, profitable sometimes, surprising - and, if you are like me, always fun!

This place offers "free food" - in that you can have sandwiches to your heart's content. You'll pay for bananas, candy-bars, and yes, bottled water (but tap water is free!). Every evening, they server a free BALANCED meal (i.e., meat, veggies and some starch). I can't cook this well, alone!

The staff is across the board, nice, inviting and professional. I have occasionally played with one of the owners.

There are some "pros" whose job it is to keep the action going. If they are in the hand - be sure you have a hand, too!

NVC is regularly trying to come up with some prizes for best-hand, pool of money for a given straight,etc. so when you win one, it is a nice bonus (all such bonuses are displayed prominently on large TV's).

From any seat in the house, you can watch 3 - 6 different TV's/games/sporting events.

Another reviewer made comment about the parking lot.. Did he mention.. it was FULL? - i.e., you have lots of players inside, playing!!! Did he mention it is ALWAYS secure - they have security patrolling it, and I don't feel nervous about my nice car getting messed up out there!

Oh - by far, though their chips are "glossy" - I have to award them for the most attractive chip design!

staff might be racist! Arlene asked for my ID at the machine' AFTER security at the front door verified my ID. she was insinuating i looked like a minor and felt the need to check my ID again. I dug in my purse to get my ID out. I accidentally brought in a half drunken beat box that I totally forgot I had until she mentioned it and told me i had to leave immediately. this was AFTER I bought a drink from the guy pushing the cart. I told them I just bought a drink can I please enjoy my drink you can confiscate the beatbox. they didnt care and said they dont know how much I had to drink. I NEVER drunk the beat box in the establishment. I asked to speak with the supervisor and everyone said he was busy. long story short I didnt get my beatbox back and I paid for a drink I never got and couldn't get my refund back. as a black woman I feel like this was a stereotype situation asking for my ID and I look nothing...

This place is horrible if you're a REAL poker player. The people who play here are most 60+ years old they buy in for the minimum amount so theres no money on the table and the games usually dont last if they do get money on the table. The parking lot looks like you just arrived at your local dump. The staff is full of complete idiots that dont even know their own rules. Bad staff like that guy said jason is a punk. If you're a serious player or you actually want your money to mean something try The Grand or try The Oaks or even better try Lucky Chances you would be a complete fool to play at this...
