Tacos Michoacan — Restaurant in American Canyon

I’ve been going here for 4 years now and order the exact same thing. I get a taco salad with no shell, rice or beans. It is never a problem and all of the employees gladly make it except one employee who may be the owner. Even though she would give me attitude she would still make it. She always charges me extra which I would pay with no problem. Today I was being treated to lunch by a friend from church and I chose this restaurant since it was close to both our houses. The employee saw that we were waiting to place our order and instead of helping us started busing tables. Eventually she came over and when I tried to order my salad she flat out refused it and said I had to get everything in the taco salad. I was confused. I stated that in all these years they have always made it for me and she just kept saying No. I am very saddened by her attitude. Throwing lettuce, cheese, chicken and salsa in a to-go container is very easy to do and I have always paid $15 for it. Needless to say I ended up at Taco Bell where they never have a problem customizing an order....

Food is good, but employees are somewhat unfriendly. They're not rude or mean, but really treat you like just business. They provide chips and salsa when you order. One basket of chips per order. I asked for more chips and was quickly told that salsa was extra even though I placed three orders. I didn't even want salsa, but I could imagine what someone who wanted it would have felt. They prepare the food behind covered "newspapered" glass to avoid you seeing (or seeing you). This is not great Mexican food for what you are paying for. I've paid less for better tasting food. It is good Mexican food. If service was better OR prices were cheaper OR food was better tasting - then four stars. For now, three was all I could give. Just remember, this is only based on two visits and four different orders. Maybe you'll have better luck with different services or times of the day. As for the prices, you'll have to judge...

I used to go here all the time. Decent parking in front and back of location. There is always mexicsn music playing or something of interest playing on the TV in the dining area. Limited table seating. I preferred to call in my orders for pick up. They would be ready within 10 to 15 minutes. I liked to order steak fries, tacos with rice and beans, chicken nachos, and super chicken burtitos. One day, I decided to order the super taco only to find out it was not very super at all. It looked and tasted just like the regular tacos. I felt it was a rip-off and stopped...
