I called first because I wanted to ensure they had what I wanted before driving out. My call went to voicemail. Uh oh. I drove out anyway. Yay, finally made it in to buy some almond croissants!
Of course once I'm looking at the beautiful array of baked goods I couldn't leave with only the croissants. I added an oatmeal raisin cookie, a passion fruit tart and an overly cheesy looking jalapeno cheese bread.
On to the scoreboard!
Okay I'll admit even though I went there for the almond croissants the petite passion fruit tart was calling to me. I intended to just take a bite because I wanted to sample everything but oh nooo my taste buds took control and I scarfed down the entire thing.
Seriously WHY is no one raving about these tarts?!? Let's just say I really like it.
Took a bite of the oatmeal raisin cookie. It was chewy, dense, and maybe a little on the drier side for some. I prefer my cookies to not have that chewy almost undercooked texture. It was great.
Now the jalapeno bread. It actually looks more like a bread stick on steroids. It broke in half with the way the lady packed it in the box. It was crispy on the edges (burnt cheese....nom nom nom), fluffy, cheesy and spicy. Ohh I have found my true love when it comes to jalapeno cheese bread.
Last but definitely not least my long time love. Almond Croissants. Let's just start out with they are huge. I literally ate just a croissant for dinner last night. No joke. In retrospect I should have warmed it just slightly but the way I was looking at it on the plate you would have thought I was a carnivore having a steak after being fed vegetables for 10 years. It was big, evenly filled with almond paste, adorned with plenty of almonds and powdered sugar, and had a nice crunch to it. It was everything an almond croissant aspires to be.
Delicious baked goods. I will most...
Read moreCustomer service was unfriendly no smile no greeting. Bare minimum service. 2 females looked like they weren’t happy to be there working. I don’t understand why with their Music blaring in the background. It seemed like a nice hip place to work. I asked about one of the pastries if it was filled with the cream that showed on top and they said no it’s not so I bought it anyway and it was completely filled with cream which was fine by me because it was absolutely delicious! But I thought they must of not really known what they were selling or they didn’t understand my question in the first place. My husband asked nicely to double checked to see before they made my decaf latte if they got it is decaf latte because my receipt didn’t say decaf and they gave my husband an inconvenience look like your latte is over there pointing to the counter! They didn’t really answer our question clearly either that yes it was made decaf. I just assumed it was going to be alright so I drank it and it was decaf and I was fine. After we ate our pastry we cleaned up after ourselves and said have a nice day. They gave us a blank stare like we said something they never heard before. It was the strangest experience I have ever received from this place. When it first opened I loved how friendly the staff was it also makes the food taste better when you have nice friendly staff but now not so good. Get new staff and get someone to oversee their staff is using good customer service skills and knows about the pastries. This place is quality don’t let it get run down by people who won’t represent your business well. We are locals and we don’t feel like we want to come back anymore. We might as well go to Starbucks to get this kind of service we received today at your patisserie. We encourage you to help your staff become better. We love your pastries...
Read moreI recently visited this place, hoping to enjoy a nice latte and a ham and cheese sandwich. Unfortunately, what I encountered was far from the delightful experience I had anticipated.
Upon ordering, the server informed me that it would take about 15 minutes to prepare my food. Understanding that good things take time, I decided to pass the time by ordering a pastry. This was where my patience began to wear thin. After waiting for an unreasonable amount of time and following up twice, I was told that my sandwich was still being made. Meanwhile, I noticed several newcomers who arrived after me receiving their sandwiches without any delays.
After what felt like an eternity, I approached the server once more to inquire about my ham and cheese sandwich. To my astonishment, they simply said they had forgotten about it. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. It was incredibly frustrating, especially considering the place was not even busy—just a few kids working behind the counter, clearly lacking any understanding of customer service.
It’s disappointing to see a bakery with such potential fall short in customer care. The lack of respect for my time and the overall inattentiveness left a sour taste in my mouth—quite literally. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will certainly not be returning. There are far better options in You tville that value their customers and provide a much more enjoyable...
