M&C Clothing and Gifts — Attraction in Amherst

I've been a customer of yours since day one (literally).. my mom brought us to your original store when we were little and we've been coming there ever since, and now 30 years later I shop for my little one. First I just want to say I love the new location and setup and your employees are always super friendly and helpful - I love that! However, I wish you were consistent on items that you do/do not accept and your pricing was better.

It's your policy that there are many brands that you don't accept, and I completely understand your reasoning for that, but I nevertheless always see tons of those brands on your racks. Just the other week we tried to consign some Champion leggings there and were told that you never accept that brand -- even though I had bought those exact leggings from you (and lots of other Champion items too).

These days the only time I can justify buying anything at M&C is if I have store credit, otherwise I find it’s often too expensive. I really believe if you came down on your prices, even a bit, a lot more would sell. I don't know how many times I've put items back on the rack because it was priced way too high, and with or without store credit I didn’t want to pay that much for it.

I go to Mother and Child often and I love it there the clothes are so nice and pretty. I am a teenager in high school and I shop there I go into school wearing some of their clothes and all my friends ask where I bought it and if they have more. I just bought a pair of high heel boots by Banana Republic and some of my friends want them and so do my teachers. I also bring clothes into the store and they take all of it. I mean I am a teen so i know what all the teens are wearing now and when you cosign they don't just take your clothes they also give either give 40% of the sales from your clothes but they also give 50% of the sales to store credit to take off of a purchases. Mother and Child doesn't just sell babies stuff they also sell coats, shoes, teen girls and guys, men's, and woman's clothing. My brother got a jersey from Mother and Child for only $18. I think all the people who went there before and had a bad time should try going there again. I mean I got some of my friends parents to start shopping there and I think...

Great selection although a little pricey for the condition of some items. I usually find the best deals on shoes rather than clothing. Many of the clothing items I’ve purchased have had stains or tears that I didn’t catch while in the poorly lit dressing rooms. I’ve had people walk in on me in the dressing rooms multiple times or I’ve caught someone staring at me through the many holes in the wall from the dressing rooms on either side. Since I do not live close by, it’s not worth the risk to buy the items and try them on at home. Most of the employees are nice, but I’ve had a few run-ins with two individuals that were extremely rude- both in person and on the phone. I’ve called in to the store twice now to discuss consigning and the older (sounding) lady I’ve spoken with on the phone has been harsh and impolite both times. This store has great potential but I’m not inclined to make any more special trips or go out of my way to visit...
