Wrap City Sandwich Co. — Restaurant in Amherst

I stopped in yesterday 9/17/25 at 4:48 pm there was only myself and one other person waiting for food. I ordered the Santa Barbara Ranch Wrap. That sandwich is usually great. The chips use to be good, but now it seems whenever I go in the chips are burnt and tasteless, which is a shame because they once were so flavorful. Now, it’s best just to bring your own. Usually, when you walk in the door you’re greeted by the cashier with a smile and a friendly hello. Cashier was quite never said anything just waited to take order. I ordered the wrap to go, order came to $13.01, I gave the girl a $20.00 she gave me back a $5.00 bill and a $1.00 bill, but kept the $.99 cents. I didn’t tell her she still owed me $.99 cents in change, all because I wanted to see if she was an honest person. She closed the draw and said nothing then she disappeared into the back. When my food was ready a young man gave it to me which he was very polite and friendly. When I arrived at home, I was surprised to find sandwich not toasted so it was wet and soggy and the chips were mostly black and hardly any there. Which to me was disappointing. I’m hoping the next time I visit, things are much better and you can bring back those fabulous chips you once served. Otherwise, I believe I’ll stay away. I am very disappointed to be having to write a 1 star review but unfortunately this is now on my never return list. Went there about a week ago and when we went it there was only one person there waiting for takeout, so we ordered and expected a quick turnaround. We then proceeded to wait 50 minutes for 2 sandwiches which was made worse by watching 6 groups who ordered after us get their food. Then when we finally got our food the order was made wrong and with tomatoes after asking for no tomatoes. I was told they could not give me my money back after waiting 50 minutes for 2 sandwiches one of which I now would not eat. We ended up throwing the sandwiches out and leaving. Then yesterday we tried to give it one more go before completely giving up on them and once again my sandwich with no tomatoes (this time said allergy since eating tomatoes I get sick) still had tomatoes. Ordered a replacement with Doordash and the order was then missing the bacon I paid extra for and was not nearly as good as sandwiches in the past. First time trying and got Plymouth County and a friend got Hidden Valley. We got it to go. The wraps were delicious. They were made perfect and were not unraveling and leaking everywhere. The chips were disgusting. They were medium to dark brown in color and left a bad after taste of over cooked chips. I would have said it might be a bad batch, but what was bagged at the counter was only marginally lighter. I got a fair amount in my box, but my friend had 8 chips. So if you like the chips they are inconsistent with portion. Staff friendliness was zero. No welcome or even a smile. There was no one in the place and only 2 staff members. They barely spoke to each other. I did observe inconsistent glove standards. 1 member removed 1 glove (left other on) to put a bag in the barrel for trash and not wash hands before putting on another single glove.
