Exodus Escape Room has been one of my favorite entertainment places to visit over the last few years. The themes here are NOT horror or scary. Each room has a story to help immerse you in the experience and the staff does a really good job with "setting the scene" and helping when you ask for a clue or hint. Everything in this location screams "we know what we are doing". The Whole place is clean and organized, staff is professional and really friendly. Anaheim Exodus has 3 escape rooms to choose from and is in an easy to access location just off of the 91 fwy. There is lots of food and drinks nearby too for after the escape!
I started with "Elevator" as my first escape room ever (3 years ago). It was a blast with 4 people (including myself) trying to work together and solve the clues to get out. I liked it so much that I came back the next day to do "Submerged" their Submarine themed room. This one was meant for at least 4 people but my friend and I felt ambitious and tried to do it just the 2 of us, it was challenging for only 2 people and our time ran out with just 2 puzzles/clues left to solve. We were so close! But still had a lot of fun all the same. That was 3 years ago for me, and now I came back again to try "Olympus" and the newest room "Villains Vendetta". Olympus was AMAZING, great theme and really good puzzles with GOOD special effects, Zeus talks to you and gives you a mission. Best of all with only like 1 or 2 clues, WE MADE IT OUT before time ran out. There was an open slot after Olympus for "Villains Vendetta" and we jumped at the chance. The Villains room is a toy shop where all these Villains from old movies and new movies have captured all the Hero toys and locked them away and you have to rescue them! I loved seeing all the toys from my childhood and ones from recent movies along with the heroes that everyone knows like Iron Man, Batman, G.I. Joe and Spiderman. If you have a free hour and are looking for something more fun than just sitting in a theater, I recommend coming here and experiencing the escape rooms. So many funny memories with my friend here. I want to get a big group together and do...
Read moreWent into this experience not knowing what I was getting into. We were booked for Villain’s Vendetta. Chad told us that it’s a classic escape room. Puzzles with locks, keys and combos.
The set design hit home. So many items from the kid’s childhood. Books I’ve read several dozens of times to them when they were little. Toys that we had at home.
My wife was ready to send me out with the kids alone, but I convinced her to go in the end. Come to find when it was all said and done, she was the one that was most excited about the experience we went through.
The puzzles are amazing. So creative. Definitely takes a team to get this done. We were all pretty new to this, so we did need some hints…but some of these clues are mind blowing. There is a lot packed into the experience. All 5 of us contributed to different puzzles that required different ways of thinking and problem solving and skills. There’s a really satisfying feeling every time a problem was solved or something opened up.
I highly recommend this as a great team building exercise or just a fun night out with the family. I immediately wanted to recommend this to someone. We spent the next hour after finishing going over all the puzzles we figured out.
Can’t say enough about Chad, the CEO and proprietor of the business. I’ve known him for years now, and I’ve always known him to be a great man with strong family values, but I was thoroughly impressed to see this side of him. So impressed.
Go for it. If you’re in the fence about it, it’s more fun, challenging and gratifying than you...
Read moreAwesome experience. We drove from Buena Park. It was only my second time, and everybody else's first time. We did the Sherlock Holmes room. It was about avg on difficulty level, the riddles were really challenging, you really had to apply critical thinking. The best advice I can give is everyone share their thoughts, and over communicate. It might help solve puzzles faster. We asked for help a handful of times and they never gave us a direct answer but directed us towards the path we needed to solve a clue. They did not take away time for asking for help either like sone escape rooms do. When we first got there we waited in the lobby for them to get the room ready, then someone came out and explained the rules to us. Publication actually locks you in the room, whereas some escape rooms do not. It was not scary, they kept a copy of the key where you can access It in case you need to go out for a phone call or use the bathroom. Ince they take you to a room there is a tv which plays a shirt video that gives you a little about the scenario you're in. Right after the video is over your time starts. The room was 60 minutes long. It was one surprise after another, always kept me guessing. I didn't know what to expect next. We ended up solving the puzzle and getting out of the room before the clock ran out. Everybody had a blast! We talked about it for days. I highly recommend. It was fun for friends and family. We will...
