Golden State Pawn and Guitars — Attraction in Anaheim

I have been to numerous pawn shops in the area and I stumbled upon Golden State Pawn and Guitar after I had the WORST and I mean WORST experience At Beach Loan Services Pawn shop. I was treated so badly even got cursed at by their employees and to make matters worse when they gave me my change they shorted me $40 bucks I was so upset and wanted to get out of there I didn’t count the change till I got in my car and after that experience of being cursed and talked down too and finding out they cracked my Apple Watch too I just left and didn’t go back inside to get the rest of my change !!!!!!!! After this unprofessionalism of a nightmare experience i took my business else where and never looked back !!

THATS WHEN I FOUND Golden State Pawn and Guitars and I am forever grateful because of the culture the owner brings to his business he genuinely cares about his customers and that’s rare especially when it comes to pawn shops! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone because after my horrible experiences with the pawn shops in the area I almost gave up on finding a good place, a place where they actually care for their customers and their items. Bobby the owner of Golden State is one of the nicest caring and most understanding people I have ever met. Because of this I still have my MacBook not only was he understanding he gave me a few days past my loan due date just until I got my paycheck to pick up my laptop any other place wouldn’t have ever cared to do this and would have sold it - and I know this because I’ve been threatened by previous pawn shops despite me having a good background and history of paying my loans on time and to be treated so badly and not even that I’ve had my items broken damaged and cracked from previous places (cracked Apple Watch, and a MacBook that was dropped and wouldn’t turn on) so finding Bobby and his pawn shop was a blessing. Not only do I deal with the owner directly the owner is understanding and kind and you can rest assure what ever he holds onto is stored away safely !!!

IVE BEEEN TO ALMOST EVERY SINGLE PAWN SHOP IN THE AREA AND BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY THIS - GOLDEN STATE PAWN AND GUITARS IS THE PLACE TO GO AND I MEAN IT !!!!!

It took a bad experience to find this place but I’m glad it happened because I will never go anywhere else but here !!

Ive had nothing but terrible experiences at pawn shops/guitar shops ( even on "5" shops), so coming here i was hesitant. But as the other reviews say on here the guy Bobby (if that was his name) was rad. I came to get a loan and he gave me pretty much exactly what i was looking for. He plugs in to test my amp head and starts shredding on a guitar, so right then i knew he was a real musician, it shows with the fair prices and quality / variety of his inventory, as well as his attitude and friendly approach to business, i give him 5 / 5 stars, knowledgeable, friendly, intelligent, and most importantly FAIR. This may be the first review ive ever put on google, and the reason for it is so more people will come in here. Its a small little shop but once i get back on my feet im coming in not to just pawn or sell but to buy. There is a guitar i really want here badly and hopefully it will still be here. Lets keep this shop in business we need more pawn/music shops like this. Brookhurst pawn, euclid pawn, and a couple others can suck my d** (pardon my language), dont believe any good reviews for them on google. I HIGHLY recommend this shop and Bobby! It was my first time visiting a pawn shop and Bobby made the entire experience both calming and educational.

I needed to sell a 20-year-old Brownsville double cutaway in an SKB case; I found Golden State through a Google search. From the beginning of our interaction, I could tell Bobby was genuinely interested in helping me understand their process vs. other pawn shops that just silently look at your items and quote a low offer with no explanation. He talked me through how he was searching his database for recent comparable sales, gave me an idea of how much I could expect to sell it for privately, then quoted a sale price and told me the offer would stand even if I walked away and came back later.

I tried a couple of other pawn shops in the area, but their customer service was nonexistent compared to Golden State. I quickly went back to Golden State, sold the guitar+case and then Bobby agreed to review a random collection of other items I had.
