Sushi Dake — Restaurant in Anaheim

I wonder if the other people on here got paid to leave good reviews . The food itself is good. However, it was the WORST service ever. We chose this place off the ratings and don't know how they could have a 4 star rating . If I could give them a half star I would . The service was HORRIBLE . And I have never complained . So the fact that I am taking my time to write a review says a lot .

1. they weren't able to accommodate seating for a group of 7 even though there was plenty of chairs and tables . ( it was a weekday)
2. they took 20 min to get our drinks out
3. they didn't check up for refills and had to go up to the counter a couple times to ask for what I needed
4. we spilled a drink by accident (because we were crowded at the table ) and the waitress never came by to help or give us a rage to clean it ourselves , after she said she would bring something
5. we felt as if they were discriminated against because we were the only table that wasn't really being tended too
6. food came out late and they forgot some of our order after it was repeated...

I was craving sushi a Monday night. Most places were either closed already or about to close. Sushi Dake was one of the few open til late. Well, I absolutely loved the place. There were few tables and the place was packed, but the waiters were quick to try to find us a spot. Didn't wait long for a table to open and we were promptly seated. Ordered 3 sushi rolls and a teriyaki plate. While waiting for our food we received complimentary miso soup and edamame. The rolls were superb. Ordered pink lady, dragon roll and one I can't remember. But the 3 were amazing. They looked beautiful and tasted way beyond my expectations. Server was attentive through our whole meal. By the end of our meal we received complimentary strawberries with cream. Simple but nice. I recommend this place, attention is amazing, food is super tasty,...

This is currently my favorite restaurant and I have been trying a LOT of sushi from around the area. Nobody does the tempura fried rolls like sushi Dake. Always crispy, presentation always beautiful, and all the right textures. No mushy rice. My friends have said good things about their ramen as well. I always get a tempura roll and the spicy garlic edamame and feel so healthy and full afterward. The atmosphere is low lit and cozy, they have the sushi bar right in the middle and there is plenty of local artwork decorating the entrance and walls and it’s never too busy there.
