El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Anaheim

I have been going to this location a total of four years so far. For four years the service has been consistently horrible. The speaker at the drive thru has needed repairing for at least 2 years. It is always so hard to understand what the employee is saying. I also have had to repeat my order several times for them to hear it. This location is definetly busy enough to afford a new system. I have gotten in the habit of checking my order by now on items that I can (burritos and quesadillas are too tricky to do quickly). My order is wrong 80% of the time not completely just little errors. When I tell them there is a mistake I have always gotten attitude back as if I am an inconvenience. The food isn't bad at all when the order is correct. Asking for an extra salsa is like pulling teeth everytime! I ask for the avocado salsa to get a small container that is half full. Containing a tablespoon of product at most. When I ask for more I am always told that it will be an extra charge. I agree and then am not charged 50% of the time. The staff at this location really makes me not want to come back to this location. I will wait a few months hoping that they have improved only to see they have not or the service is even worse. Wow this location is unbelievable... El pollo loco should just shut all it's locations down and quit the food business, seriously! They are super stingy about anything, including things that you get in abundance like salsa in the past and use covid to conveniently avoid opening the salsa bar. Worst of all, chicken (their bread & butter) is garbage now and employees are ultra rude, mean and unhappy. Gone are the days when It was good before the pandemic but these days my family and I, along with friends, don't even recognize this place anymore. It's such a shame coz we used to visit 90% of the time. Now it's down to almost 5% out of desperation and everyone I know have uninstalled their app on their phones. My mom and I have been here a few times. The first time we got a meal deal and we got the wrong side that we asked for so we called and they corrected it for us and told us to come back sometime to get the correct side. We go back a week later to get our side and order dinner as well. We get the pollo bowl meal and my mom doesn't like their rice and asked for extra beans and light rice. We repeated it back to the person THREE times. She gave us extra rice and no beans! When we called to say it wasn't right the manager Lucy tried to convince us that we said extra rice. Which my mom never liked the rice and has never order extra rice so why would this be different. She was rude and not helpful. Also their prices are way more than the location on Katella. I'd rather drive to that location and avoid this location...
