My-D Pins & Collectibles — Attraction in Anaheim

This store used to be a must go to, when I first discovered it but after my last visit I can honestly say I will never go there again. I had decided to sale a figure I had, just to see what I could get for it. And I understood the stores policy that the offer they give you is dramatically less than what it’s worth. But I was so astonished at the offer the cashier had given me due to how low and criminal it really was. The figure I was trading in was new in box and usually goes for 145-120 on most general websites. And I had understood prior that I wouldn’t be getting the offer that I was looking for but was ok with settling with 100 or 90 dollars in cash; or store credit. But the offer he had given me was so insultingly low(which was 43 cash and 63 store credit) I had decided to never do business with this store ever again. And I typically don’t bother writing reviews for places especially stores that deal with pop culture since I have a high level of regard for them, but this store through out the years I have been doing business with and purchasing items has honesty lost my services and admiration. And not just due to the low offer I was given by my last visit, but also to the ridiculous prices they ask for certain items where as I could get them for far less some where else. Which is not to say all their items are like that which they aren’t and I can honestly say a large majority of my collection was bought at this store but when it comes to certain items such as their nendoroids and sh figuarts figures I honestly consider it...

I went to this store and spent a little over a hundred$.. but when.. i showed the girl that was there my pins for credit... she goes thru all of them and says "I can't take this, they're all scrapper!" And i said "okay thank you" I get one last pin that i liked off the board and says " oh i can trade you that one for one of your pins" And i said "sure"... she goes thru them again and says "i can trade you that pin for one of these.." she pointed out to soda pop pins that i bought from the disney studio store in hollywood... so i said "oh no, ill just pay cash for it. Thank you"

Well she was trying to trade me a $5 pin for one that i know for a fact its way more valuable than $5... why would she say my pins are scrappers but yet she wants to trade me? she was trying to take advantage of me..

i was referred to this store by a very good pin trading buddy/friend. And to be honest i was sad that someone from this store would try to do this to anyone...

If i ever go back to this store it will be to buy something but i will try to keep my interactions with the staff at...

Cool place with really cool collectables. This place is filled with tons of collectables: action figures, toys, Funko Pops, Disney pins, and other cool stuff. Prices are a little high, but it's to be expected, as it's only a hop, skip, and a jump away from Disneyland. Also, I'm sure inflation is a factor too. 🙄😒😮‍💨 Per my experience they will not accept any haggling, even if it's a few dollars off, so to me that was a bit off a turn off. They should be more understanding that in today's age where everything is priced at top dollar, if they want to make some more sales, they should be willing to let a customer haggle with them, especially if they're willing to spend a decent amount of money and by multiple items. In a sense, like buying in bulk. That's my only knock on the place.
