My favorite church. It's a lovely community with lovely people. Everyone there is very kind and welcoming. The first time i walked in I made friends. They made me feel like I was at home, it was a feeling i have never felt at any other church. I joined the SALT, San Antonio Leadership Team, program after confirmation which help teach first and second year confirmation students. I grew closer with my SALT group than I did with my confirmation group. That program has changed my life forever. The Youth Ministry is wonderful. Confirmation classes really help you discover your faith in God if you are willing to. The teachers are extraordinary in small group settings. The hall classes are even better. They're like mini retreats for 2 hours! Speaking of which, the retreats are amazing. I've been on previous retreats from other churches and nothing met the level of excitement, energy, fun, and faith than a San Antonio retreat. My favorite would have to be the winter SALT retreat which was from start to finish 100% charismatic. There are no words to describe the type of power that retreat had and the way the Holy Spirit moved through everyone. A few times everyone in the room was resting in the spirit at the same time while having their own, individual experiences. It was simply amazing. There are so many wonderful people at this church. Masses don't disappoint. Powerful messages and yet there is always room to crack a joke or two to lift up everyones spirits. You really form a bond with everyone there at first and eventually more later on. It's a wonderful community with...
Read moreThe Assistance Program is no help. Lady by the name of Nancy is no help at all and they do a 20 mins interrogation about every single detail. I felted they were not helpful and I had to wait two weeks for an appointment just to get rejected. What's the point of having an assistance program if your going to give people a hard time to people who are already going through a hard time. I hope Donors don't donate anymore, these church doesn't help does in need, and neither if you have kids. It's my first time asking for assistance as I was affected through the...
Read moreWent to the annual fiesta as I have done for countless years as I live within walking distance. I found the security guards at the entrance to be extremely rude and unprofessional. I am a 52 year old man. Having me empty my pockets, lift up my shirt and turn around to enter a carnival seemed extremely excessive and was simply embarrassing. Won’t be back next year. The way they were treating people was completely uncalled for. Here in America we are innocent until proven guilty, not the...
